By 1985, AMS became the world s largest manufacturer of metal hardware to this industry with a reputation for high quality and fair prices. Our continually expanding primary product line consists of metal hardware to assemble, hang, and secure aluminum, wood and plastic picture frames. Other items in our line include self-locking protective corrugated corners, mounting materials, laminating films, wire, easel backs, and a growing selection of hand- and airoperated machines used for the installation of AMS parts. 4 #11- Type Threaded Angles HARDWARE FOR #11 TYPE ALUMINUM PROFILES #11 Type 1/4-28 Threaded Angles For over 25 years, AMS has been manufacturing top-quality angles in the USA. This assortment of #11 tapped angles and back plates is stamped from full hard steel. No other supplier of hardware to the picture framing industry offers as large a range of product for various applications. The screws supplied with each angle are also manufactured in the USA by AMS. New patent-pending slotted headless screws have been designed for superior engagement when used with or without back plate angles. Screws are staked in angles at a depth that minimizes the chance of screws falling out while eliminating the need to back up screws for smooth insertion into frame channel. Note that the AMS #11 Driver Sleeve can be used for quick driver engagement with slotted headless screws. Any of these angles can be purchased with or without screws, with or 1/4-28 diameter threaded holes, and (for large quantities) in special packaging. This screwdriver s torque is fully adjustable. The AMS customized bit and sleeve (AMS #11-SLEEVE) engages slotted set screws in both corner angles and wall hangers. After inserting angles and hangers, simply press the #11-Sleeve to the screws that need to be tightened. The #11-Sleeve quickly and easily locates the screw slot while the pressing motion automatically turns the clutch. Its work surface is made of a 12 x 18 (30cm x 46cm) steel plate that is 1/4 thick; a measuring tape is attached to the right and left edges.
