4 WALL PREPARATION To guarantee the best results it is important that walls are prepared and your Perfet Panelling has been stored orretly to prevent warping, bending or bowing. To ensure your Perfet Panelling is properly bonded, it is important that all surfaes to whih adhesive will be applied are lean and dry. Panels an be bonded/fixed to most surfaes inluding tiles, onrete, plaster, plasterboard, and hipboard/ plywood walls providing they are sound. Perfet Envelope

5 CUTTING PANELS Safety First: We always reommend that you wear appropriate protetive equipment and safety glasses when utting panels. Reommended tools: Fine tooth blade hand saw Silione Sealant Adhesive Drill and srewdriver Tape Measure Penil Before utting any Perfet Panelling it is important to measure and mark your required utting line in penil, and don t forget measure twie and ut one! One you are happy with the size and straightness of your line, ut using a fine-tooth blade hand-saw keeping the deorative fae up. When measuring distane from walls, or inside shower enlosures, allowanes should be made for the thikness of PVC profiles and the spae between walls and profiles. phone Perfet

6 FITTING TONGUE AND GROOVE PANELS Tongue and groove panels an be bonded to the wall with high-grab adhesive, we reommend Fix All, High-Tah Adhesive & Sealant whih is available to order from our showroom at the same time as your Perfet Panelling. STEP 1 To maintain ontinuity of the tongue and groove panelling, always start in a orner and using the orret profile, bond the first panel to the wall or frame, with the grooved edge first and apply masking tape to the two meeting edges of the deorative fae to protet the surfae. STEP 2 Apply a narrow bead (2-3mm) of silione sealant to the front shoulder of the tongue. Note using too muh silione sealant will affet the tightness of the joint. 7 STEP 3 And don t forget - when fitting panels into orner and end ap profiles, the protruding tongued or grooved edge should be ut off. STEP 4 Angle the tongue of the next panel into the groove of the fixed panel. Continue this proess for eah wall board until you reah the opposite orner and repeat for eah wall. Finally, finish the installation by applying a bead of silione to the join between the panelling and the shower tray, to form a water tight seal between the bottom edge and the shower tray itself. Remove the masking tape and ensure any exess silione sealant is wiped from the deorative fae immediately. phone Perfet
