1 Hostess Rewards Frequently Asked Questions Updated September 1, 2018 General Information 1. What are Hostess Rewards? Hostess Rewards is a program where anyone who hosts a Gathering can earn awesome Close To My Heart products for free or at an incredible discount. As a hostess s Gathering sales total increases, so do their rewards! 2. What Hostess Rewards and discounts will my hostess receive? Every gathering over $150 in product sales, exclusive of shipping, handling, and taxes, will qualify for our Hostess Rewards program and earn Hostess Rewards. In addition, hostesses with sales of $250 or more will also have the option to purchase any item in an active idea book at 50% off. Refer to the Hostess Rewards page in the front the idea book for a chart showing how much can be earned based on the amount of sales in a Gathering. Redeemable Products 3. What items can my hostess get free with their Hostess Rewards? Eligible products include: My Acrylix stamp sets (Stamp of the Month stamps are not included) My Acrylix blocks Exclusive Inks stamp pads Exclusive Inks pigment pads Exclusive Inks re-inkers ShinHan Touch Twin markers Complements Paper packets Cardstock packs (excluding kraft and watercolor) Picture My Life Workshops Your Way kits Cut Above kits For a complete list, refer to the eligible items lists found in Online Office > Communications > Reference Lists. 4. What exclusive hostess-only items can my hostess purchase? Cricut Cuttlebug (HB1067): Unlock this hostess-only item for purchase when a hostess reaches Level 1 of Hostess Rewards. This item is not eligible as a hostess 50%-off item. Hostess Cricut Bundle (HB1072): Unlock this hostess-only bundle for purchase when a hostess reaches Level 3 of Hostess Rewards. This item is not eligible as a hostess 50%-off item. Designer Travel Hostess Bundle (HB1070): Unlock this hostess-only bundle for purchase as a 50%-off item when a hostess reaches Level 3 of Hostess Rewards. Workspace Wonder Hostess Bundle (HB1063): Unlock this hostess-only bundle for purchase as a 50%-off item when a hostess reaches Level 3 of Hostess Rewards.

2 Craft Organizers Hostess Bundle (HB1071): Unlock this hostess-only bundle for purchase as a 50%-off item when a hostess reaches Level 3 of Hostess Rewards. Flyers for these items can be found in Online Office > Marketing > Flyers > Hostess Support. 5. Why are only certain products offered as free Hostess Rewards items? For several key reasons: Nearly 80% of our overall products fall into these categories, so hostesses will continue to have a very wide variety of choices. These items are manufactured on site and are therefore easiest for Close To My Heart to control in terms of costs, availability, and inventory. We want to be able to ship items in a timely manner. Most importantly, these items are our core, branded products, so hostesses will continue to choose from the products for which we are best known. This builds loyalty and repeat business. 6. Can a hostess apply their free Hostess Rewards credit toward the 50% off idea book item? No. Free Hostess Rewards credit can only be redeemed for items on the redeemable product list. See question 3 above for a list of the items. Exclusive Hostess Offers: Cricut Cuttlebug or Hostess Cricut Bundle 7. What is the Cricut Cuttlebug hostess-only item? It is an exclusive item including the Cricut Cuttlebug machine, (1) A plate, and (2) B plates plus the rubber mat. Hostesses who reach Level 1 in their party order total will receive $25 USD/CAD in Hostess Rewards credit, and they will also unlock the ability to purchase a Cricut Cuttlebug as an exclusive hostess-only item for just $79 USD/$100 CAD plus $7.95 USD/$10 CAD shipping. 8. What is the Hostess Cricut Bundle? It is an exclusive hostess-only bundle including the Cricut Explore Air 2 machine and the Cricut You Are Here digital collection. Hostesses whose party totals reach Level 3 or higher unlock the ability to purchase the Hostess Cricut Bundle for $299 USD/$379 CAD plus $10 USD/ $20 CAD shipping. 9. Can my hostess use her Hostess Rewards or hostess 50%-off item to purchase the Cricut Cuttlebug (HB1067) or the Hostess Cricut Bundle (HB1072)? No, these items are not available for purchase with Hostess Rewards or with a hostess 50%-off item. A hostess can unlock the ability to purchase them when her Gathering reaches the sales levels noted in questions 7 and Can my hostess qualify to purchase BOTH the Cricut Cuttlebug and the Hostess Cricut Bundle? Yes, when a Gathering has reached Level 3 or higher, the hostess will qualify to purchase the Hostess Cricut Bundle (which includes both the Cricut Explore Air 2 machine and the Cricut You Are Here digital collection) as well as the Cricut Cuttlebug. 11. Are these items commissionable? No. Like other exclusive hostess items, these items are non-commissionable. They cannot be purchased using Hostess Rewards credit or as 50%-off items.

3 12. How do I place an order for the bundle? You can order the bundle by entering the item number (HB1072) in the Hostess Rewards step of Order Entry on the qualifying order. 13. Are these hostess Cricut offers charged shipping? Yes, even though they are on the Hostess Rewards page, these exclusive hostess items will have an additional flat-rate shipping that will be applied, just as all exclusive hostess items do. A standalone shipping charge of $7.95 USD/ $10 CAD will be applied for the Cricut Cuttlebug, and a standalone shipping charge of $10 USD/$20 CAD will be applied for the Hostess Cricut Bundle. 14. How long will the Hostess Cricut Bundle be available? This exclusive bundle will be available until a date to be determined. In the event that we choose to discontinue this bundle, we will provide you with at least 30-days notice. Real Rewards Hostess Program 15. What is the Real Rewards hostess program? Real Rewards allows hostesses who choose to become Consultants to use their free Hostess Rewards credit toward the purchase of their New Consultant Kit once they hit a certain hostess level. In order to qualify, the hostess s Gathering total must reach a minimum of $250 USD/CAD. Once you have submitted the Gathering or EZ Invite order where a Real Rewards item number was entered, the Consultant will be ed the code that can then be forwarded to the hostess and used towards the purchase of a New Consultant Kit. This code can be used by anyone signing up and doesn t need to match the name of the hostess on the submitted order. 16. What item numbers do I use for the Real Rewards program? 4 17. How long do hostesses have to use their redemption code? The code will expire 40 days after it s issued. Consultants can view who has used codes and who still needs to use their code in Online Office > Business Management > Reports > Consultant Tools > New Consultant Kit Redemption Codes Report. The expiration date for each code will also be listed in this report, and an reminder will be sent out to Consultants approximately a week before any unused codes expire. Once the code has expired, those hostess rewards are lost and can no longer be redeemed. Consultant as Hostess 18. Can a Consultant acting as a hostess participate in Hostess Rewards? Yes, a Consultant can act as a hostess, provided the total sales for the Gathering is $150 or more. Then the Consultant will receive all Hostess Rewards for which they qualified. Simply add your name to the order (make sure to choose the one that says (Consultant) next to your name) and select your name as the hostess when prompted. Keep in mind that the order has to be submitted as a Gathering or an EZ Invite order type to earn Hostess Rewards. Shipping/Tax 19. Is shipping/handling charged for Hostess Rewards items? Any order that is placed containing only Hostess Rewards items will be assessed the standard shipping rate of $7.95 or 7.95% of the total value of the redeemed items ($10 or 10% in Canada). This will only apply when Hostess Rewards are redeemed without ordering any retail items on any order that contains retail items together with Hostess Rewards items, shipping will not be applied to Hostess Rewards. The hostess will be charged shipping on any amount they go over the Hostess Rewards amount. For example, if a hostess has $25 in free Hostess Rewards credit to use and goes over by $5, normal shipping/handling will be assessed on the $5 overage. 20. Are Hostess Rewards taxed? In Canada, free items are not taxable. In the US, tax will be based on the full retail amount of the free item(s) in these 11 states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and Utah. If you live somewhere other than one of these states, no sales tax will be assessed on free Hostess Rewards items. For 50%-off items, tax is only charged on the discounted amount paid, not full retail value. Tax is charged on the full overage amounts. Commissions 21. Will I get commissions from the Hostess Rewards? No, you will not receive commissions from Hostess Rewards. 22. Do the 50%-off items count toward my personal sales/personal override commissions or my Downline override commissions? No, these sales are not commissionable, and therefore do not apply to your personal sales or Downline override totals.

5 Ordering Information 23. Can orders placed on Consultant websites earn Hostess Rewards? Only Gathering or EZ Invite orders placed in Order Entry qualify for Hostess Rewards. However, if a Consultant website order was joined to an EZ Invite order then the order will count towards the Hostess Rewards totals for the EZ Invite order it is joined to. 24. Where do I redeem the Hostess Rewards? When placing your order in Order Entry, after you have put in your customers orders, you will come to a Hostess Rewards page where you enter the Hostess Rewards. 25. What if my hostess wants some items that exceed the amount of Hostess Rewards they qualify for? Can they pay the difference? Your hostess would just pay the difference as well as shipping/handling on the overage amount. Any overage amount is not commissionable.
