2 Freedom You now have your very own travel business! You have the freedom to work your own hours, earn the income you deserve and pave the road for your success. By taking the foundation tools that we have discussed and combining them with your hands on supplier training you will be able to book a variety of travel options for your clients.

3 Increased Income As a new agent with The Destination Experts you are contracted at 50% commission until you sell your first $10,000 in sales. This increases to 65% after that and can go up to 80% with performance overrides. Any supplier perks and incentives are also 100% yours.

4 Commission The agency is paid 100% of the commission earned on a reservation. The commission taxes are not paid to the agent, they are paid to the government. Your contract rate of commission is then paid to you on the 15 th of the month following the receipt of the payment at the agency. $100 gross commission would be paid out to you at $50.00 until your commission levels increase.

5 Supplier Perks Many suppliers offer wonderful incentive programs that you have access to when you sell their product. Loyalty Points Visa Reward Cards Additional Commission Many More. These incentives are 100% yours!

6 FAM Trips Many suppliers also offer occasional familiarization trips. This is a great way to visit the world while representing the agency and your team. Agents must be active and have suitable sales to qualify Agents are required to attend all required functions while on the FAM Agents are 100% financially responsible for all costs related to the FAM trip. Agents are not permitted to register for any FAM trips without the authorization from head office.

7 Conferences All members of our team are invited to attend our spring and fall conferences. These events offer you amazing training and networking opportunities and you get to meet and greet with your team members. June 2013 Orlando October Toronto

8 TAD Discounts Once you qualify, you also have access to a world of Travel Agent Discount opportunities. Please download and print the TAD policy. Hotels Car Rentals Event Tickets Cruises and All Inclusives Much, much more Also, qualifying for your IATA card can increase commission discounts with select suppliers.

9 Getting Paid All agents are paid commission once the agency receives the payment from the supplier. You can download the commission payment guide from the Business Builder section of our website for a general reference. To ensure you are paid you must always apply GROSS payment to a reservation and never NET payment. Your reservation must be invoiced into your Client Base system immediately after your sale. There must be no outstanding debts on your agent account. They will be deducted from your pay. Pay day is the 15 th of every month and checks are sent out in the mail on that day. They will have a statement that includes the confirmation number and clients last name so you can reference and reconcile your commission.

10 Getting Started You have a team of experts at your disposal. Your Regional Team Leader will assist you every step of the way to ensure you are on the right and fast track. Our online 24/7 support group is also there for your assistance. Help Desk can be reached via to assist you with any log in issues and general assistance. Our training department is here to help you during your Boot Camp training and beyond. Our marketing department will consistently offer training solutions and support. Our Weekly Virtual Board Meeting is also a great tool.

11 Toll Free Service We offer a toll free phone service that is available to all members of our team. The cost for this unlimited calling feature is only $ hst per year! If you subscribe to this service within 2 weeks of your Boot Camp completion your $49.99 activation fee is waived. You have unlimited calling incoming/outgoing and fax from computer service. You would be included in our agency Dial By Name directory. There is no cost to use this service per minute! You can direct your extension to ring on any phone line for added convenience. You would have a professional number ext 221 as an example.

12 Professional Picture We will build your business card webpage once we receive your professional head shot. Your picture should be professionally done. You can have this done at any Walmart photo studio for a small fee. Picture should be from the shoulders up, facing frontwards. Attire and hair should be professional. Smiling is required

14 Business Cards We do not design in house Business Cards. All members use VistaPrint.ca for all of their business needs. You should have the following on your business cards: The Destination Experts A Division of National Travel Associates Your name Travel Portfolio Manager Your telephone number including area code Your address Your direct link to your agent page on our website or your own website domain if applicable.

15 Your Own Business You are now in business for yourself. Start getting your office or order and prepare for this fun and exciting journey. You are an independent contractor. No deductions are taken from your commission. We recommend speaking with an accountant. Keep all of your business receipts you will be amazed at what deductions you now have with a home office. Keep track of your commissions and reconcile them, as soon as they are paid to you. A T4A is issued to you every year for tax purposes.
