1 Which Materials Can I Cut With My Cricut Explore and Maker Machine? Cricut Explore & Maker machines cut so many materials that the only limit is your imagination. From something as delicate as notebook paper to thick leather, these amazing machines can do it all. View a list of materials that can be cut on the Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker, and for which we have created a setting in Design Space. The recommended blade type, cutting pressure, and multi-cut setting for various materials are included. We are always testing new materials and will continue to add to this list. Note: Cricut Explore & Maker machines are not food safe, and cannot cut fondant or similar materials. Note: While the Explore & Maker machines can cut a wide variety of materials, Cricut does not guarantee that they will be able to cut all materials. If your material is not listed here, you can still give a try with the closest matching material's settings, provided the thickness of your material is less than 2.0 mm for Explore, and less than 2.4 mm for Maker.
