Terminal a22 is the positive side of the power supply and a28 the negative. Power supply with the wrong level protection already contains filter capacitor, and therefore it does not need another external filter capacitor. Command value inputs With the command value inputs 1 to 4, command values can be called up [1] by operating the corresponding virtual relays (K1 to K4). The command value voltage is either given directly through the controlled voltages ± 9V of the power supply [12] or via an external command value potentiometer. For this inputs ± 9 V = ± 100 % is valid. If these four command value inputs are directly connected to the controlled voltages ± 9 V, four different command values can be set at the potentiometers "R1" to "R4". When using external command value potentiometers at these inputs, the internal potentiometers also function as weakeners or limiters when these are not set to maximum. External command value potentiometer Which command value is momentarily called up, is indicated by the LEDs "H1" to "H4". If more than one command value is called up simultaneously, the input with the highest number has priority. Example: If command value 1 and command value 3 are activated simultaneously, the command value 3 becomes effective. A further output of the card provides a supply voltage for the command value call-ups which can be switched over from + 9 V to 9 V with the virtual relay K6 (pin c18). The command value input 5 is a differential input (0 to ± 10 V). If the command value is presented by a separate electronics with a different reference potential, this input must be used. When switching on or off the command value, take care that both signal lines are either connected to or disconnected from the input. A positive command value controls solenoid "a", a negative solenoid "b". Ramp times All command values are summated with the correct value and correct pre-sign during being passed on [3]. The subsequent ramp generator [4] generates from an applied step form input signal, a ramp shaped output signal. The time constant of the output signal is adjustable via the potentiometers "t" (RT 5005 and RT 5006) or "t1" to "t5" (RT 5007 and RT 5008). The given ramp time refers to a command value jump of 100 % and can depend on the DIP switch setting (J5), being approx. 1 s or 5 s. If a command value jump less than 100 % is switched to the input of the ramp generator, then the ramp time decreases accordingly. For RT 5007/5008 with 5 ramp times, each command value has one ramp time adjustment potentiometers 2 / 12 RT-5005/5006/5007/5008
3 Functional description ( t1 to t4 ). If command values 1 to 4 are not called up, the potentiometers t5 becomes effective. For RT 5005/5006 with 1 ramp time, potentiometers t1 is effective for all command values. The ramp time can be external adjustable via terminals a8 and a10, however, when using an external ramp time potentiometer, the internal potentiometer for the ramp time must be set at maximum. The maximum ramp time decreases because the resistance of the external potentiometer is switched parallel to the internal potentiometer(approx.500kω). regulator [7] as the actual value, spool displacement can be changed by potentiometer Gx, and the zero of the transducer can be adjusted by potentiometer Zx. Please do above adjustment under the guidance of professionals that ReboTech recognizes. PID regulator [7] and the self-oscillating output terminal that composed by current regulator [8] and output stage [9] can match values they control. PID regulator [7] transmits the self-oscillating output terminal control signal according to the difference between command value and actual value. And finally, output stage [9] outputs current to control the electromagnet. Amplifier enable External time potentiometer and ramp "Off" By switching virtual relay K5 or via an external jumper, the ramp time is set to its lowest value (approx. 30 ms) Step function The output signal of the ramp generator [4] runs parallel to the summator [6] and the step function generator [5]. The step function generator produces a polarity-dependent constant step signal with the command value voltages which is added to the output signal of the ramp generator. This step function causes the rapid travelling across the overlapping area of the valve spool. PID regulator The output signal of the summator [6] is transmitted to PID regulator [2] as command signal,and here is compared with the feedback signal. The modem [11] generates the control signal for the inductive position transducer [13]. The modem [11] generates the actual value signal of the valve spool position from the position transducer signal. By regulating the gain of displacement feedback [7] can change the feedback value. For the adjusted displacement feedback is directly transmitted to PID Output stage[9] enable through external signal (pin c22) >8.5V. After enable, yellow LED on the front panel lights up. By connecting J7 on the circuit board, the output stage will enable forever regardless of external signal. So when jumper J7 is connected, external signal is invalid. Measurement ports The output signal of the summator [6] feeds as current command value to the summation amplifier [5]. Here, a command value of -100 % corresponds to a voltage of + 6 V. In addition, the actual displacement wave of value core (output signal of limiting amplifier [7]) can be measured via the test point X on the front panel. A voltage of +6V at the command value test point corresponds to displacement of +100%. M0 is zero point of measurement ports. In addition, there are command and actual measurement terminals on the contact on the pin board of the amplifier. The command measurement terminal is a4; the actual displacement wave of value core is c4 Fault detection LED " " lights up to indicate trouble-free operation as long as: -amplifier enable -the internal ± 9 V voltage supply is functioning properly (amplitude and symmetry) -no short circuit of the solenoid lines -no short circuit of the position transducer RT-5005/5006/5007/ / 12

9 Unit dimensions (in mm) Circuit examples Example 1: Use internal potentiometer of the amplifier as value-setting device If J7 on the printed circuit board of the amplifier is not switched on, when the amplifier works, the external enable input pin c22 should be connected to 24VDC high level. In this instance: When contact 1 is switched on, command value 1 is started, solenoid a has control signal, the actuator (hydralic cylinder or motor) moves in a certain direction, the speed is set by potentiometer R1 on the front panel. When contact 1 is switched off, and contact 2 is switched on, command value 2 is started, solenoid b has control signal, the actuator (hydraulic cylinder or motor) moves in the other direction, the speed is set by potentiometer R2 on the front panel. Example 2: Use external potentiometer as value-setting device If J7 on the printed circuit board of the amplifier is not switched on, when the amplifier works, the external enable input pin c22 should be connected to 24VDC high level. In this instance: When +24VDC high level is supplied to pin12, command value 1 is started, the actuator (hydraulic cylinder or motor) moves in the direction determined by tap voltage polarity of RT-5005/5006/5007/ / 12
10 the external potentiometer R11, the speed the tag voltage magnitude. Caution: When the external potentiometer is applied, the corresponding internal potentiometer should be clockwise adjusted to maximum, otherwise the external potentiometer set value will be weakened or limited. Example 3: Use PLC, CNC or PC as value-setting device Use external independent value-setting device, amplifier differential input ports c24 and a22 should be applied. Caution: When external independent value-setting device are used, both signal wires should be connected to or disconnected from input ports simultaneously / 12 RT-5005/5006/5007/5008
11 Project / maintenance instructions / additional information The amplifier card may only be unplugged or plugged in when switched off! Do not use plugs with free wheel diodes or LED displays when connecting the solenoids! Measurements at the card may only be carried out with instruments R i > 100 k! For switching the command values, use relays with gold contacts (small voltages, small currents)! When using external control, the control voltage may have a residual ripple factor of a maximum of 10%! Always shield command value cables; connect the shield to 0 V operating voltage on the card side, and leave the other side open (danger of earth loops)! Recommendation: Also shield solenoid cables! For solenoid cable lengths up to 50 m, use cable type LiYCY 1.5 mm 2. For greater lengths, please consult us! The distance to aerial, radio sources and radar equipment must be at least 1 m! Do not lay solenoid and signal lines near power cables! Because of the loading current of the smoothing capacitor on the card, pilot fuses must be of the slow-blowing type! Warning: When using the differential input, both inputs must always be switched on or off simultaneously! Electrical signals generated via control electronics must not be used for switching safety-relevant machine functions.
