1 General Specifications Digital I/O Modules (for ProSafe-RS) GENERAL This GS provides the hardware specifi cations of the digital I/O modules that can be installed in the Safety Node Unit (SNB10D) and Safety Control Units (SSC10S and SSC10D). 2 2 When the input signals are normally off while in normal operation, connect the SCB100 in parallel with the contact output of the fi eld equipment as given below. SCB100 DCn INn : Field equipment switch When the input signals are normally on while in normal operation, connect the SCB110 in series with the contact output of the fi eld equipment (take care about the polarity taking note of the polarity). F01E.ai SCB110 DCn Red Blue INn When checking for both defective short and open circuits, connect the SCB100 and SCB110 in parallel and series with the contact outputs of the fi eld equipment respectively, as given below. 3 3 Output Module Output modules output 24 V DC on/off status signals to fi eld equipment. SDV531 output modules can be dual-redundant. The output modules incorporate fi eld wiring diagnostic features, so they require no wiring diagnosis elements.
