22 Continuing Maintenance: Radome Care Notes Maintenance The radome must be kept clean and free of residues that will increase the RF attenuation. Repair - Any cracks, scratches or other damage to the surface seal of the radome must be repaired and re-sealed by a competent A layered laminate (or cored deck) repair professional. NOTE: Damage to the seal of the inside, or outside, of the radome can allow moisture to be absorbed. This will result in the radome being heavier and having higher attenuation. Do NOT drill holes in the radome.
