These stations have Software Edition HM.X. For older versions of stations, please use the Guide A101K106/0.00 Aug Old and new versions of stations will work together with all functions they can be programmed to perform. It is important to note that if the feature SILENT ALARM is to be used on the system, all stations must have the new software. It is especially important to note that the switch-programming is different on new and old stations.

4 General System Description Pro700 is a fully electronic direct speech intercom system for handsfree, high-speed internal communication with up to 40 subscribers. The system does not utilize a central or exchange unit. Stations are microprocessor controlled, providing an extensive range of standard and optionally programmable features. Each station is individually programmable, giving full flexibility regarding features and extension numbers. The station s LCD display allows for features like caller identification and message/absence information. System Pro700 is an all-to-all system. From any master station, it gives the caller immediate connection to any other master or substation in 4 the system. The called number will be visible in the station's LCD display. System Pro700 is equipped with one conversation link. In addition, a program distribution channel for e.g. music is available. The keypad is arranged for quick and simple dialling. In the called station, the initiator s identification (extension number) is displayed. The T-button is provided for manual control of a conversation when desired, and the X-button is used to cancel a call. Either party may cancel the call. EASY INSTALLATION All stations are interconnected with a -pair installation cable in a star or loop/serial configuration using a 0.6/ 0.5mm diam. (4 AWG) cable. (NOTE: Three pairs are needed when program distribution channel is required). For easy connection of stations, various types of standard wall sockets can be used. The stations are powered from a centralized power supply (1 to 7 Volt DC/4Amp, depending on the cable distances and system size) terminated to the installation cable network. The station cord (BF type) contains 4 pairs: audio and signalling, power supply, program distribution and external loudspeaker/door opener function.

The called person(s) answer by dialling "8" on any station receiving the call, (no time limit). Station #16 dials ALL Call, the display shows: 7 60 LED is green. System Pro700 provides for two group-calls with optional answer-back feature. The members of group 1 and group are programmable with switches inside each station. The groups may overlap. Any user can initiate a group-call by dialling 91 (group no. 1) or 9 (group no. ). A distinctive tone-sequence announces the group call both to the initiator and to all stations programmed as groupcall receivers. Pressing and holding the T-button down, the initiator broadcasts a verbal message and presses "X" to cancel. The maximum group-call duration is 60 seconds. Making a group call, the count down will be indicated in the display, from 60 to 00, (second by second). With reply-back on group-call the initiator announces the required person or persons and presses the 8-button or let the call stay until auto-cancel after 60 seconds. The called person(s) answer by dialling "8" on any station receiving the call, (no time limit). Station #16 dials Group Call no. 1, the display shows: LED is green. Stations with the «9»-key, both master- and substations, can be programmed to activate Emergency Call. By pressing and holding the «9»- key, an important message can be given to the group of stations that are programmed as receivers in Group Call no. 1. By releasing the «9»-key, the call is automatically cancelled. The Emergency Call has priority over all other calls except the Silent Alarm feature. 17

18 Features Priority Always Privacy "Doorbell" function Any preprogrammed station may have the priority feature. If the priority station dials a extension number while the conversation channel is busy (or receives privacy-signal), he has the option to press 0 to override the busy link and be connected to the called party, (i.e. any ongoing call is automatically cancelled). The cancelled conversation is not restored. If the priority caller does not wish to use the priority function, X is used to cancel the call. The priority function will also cancel All- and Group-calls 18 The Always Privacy feature is activated by switch programming. The station lamp (LED) will clearly show an orange light. A station in Always Privacy is only blocked for incoming calls (not for All and Group calls), outgoing calls are initiated the normal way. When a call is made to a station programmed for Always Privacy, both caller and called extension will hear a continuous ringing tone. The ringing tone in the called extension is automatically raised to the maximum audio level, and will continue to ring for minutes or until the call is accepted by pressing the 0-button or cancelled by the initiator with the X-button. The LCD display shows 4 dashes ( ) and the green lamp flashes. When the call is cancelled, the station goes back to privacy condition. Station #16 is put in Always Privacy mode, display shows: Station # dials station #16, the display in station # shows: LED is flashing green. In station #16, the display shows: LED is flashing green. This feature is only valid for substations AB708, AB71, AB71-F, AB71A and AB71A-F where the call button activates the Doorbell function. A distinctive tone-sequence is heard in the door station and in all the stations receiving the doorbell call. Any master station receiving the doorbell call can now call back to the door station by pressing 5 and a normal audio connection is established. If the "doorbell" call is not answered within 0 seconds (alternatively minutes), the call request is canceled. The system allows for two different tone signals, i.e. the front-door signal can be different from the back-door signal. This is switch programmed inside the door station, the door stations are assigned different tone IDs. Any station can be individually programmed to receive a call from a "doorbell station", either to receive calls from door stations with tone ID no. 1 or ID no. or from both. For the receiver of the "doorbell" call to activate the Remote Output/Door Opener function in the door station, press and hold the digit "5". The stations AB71, AB71-F, AB71A and AB71A-F have built in relays for this function. These stations also have a separate Local Output function for controlling of cameras, lamps, etc., e.g. lamp warning to be installed inside the door. Both this warning and the call can be cancelled by pressing a button connected to the Local Reset function.

19 Features Program distribution Remote program distribution Remote Output/ Door opener This feature requires one extra pair in the installation cable, giving a total of pairs. To this extra pair, a program source is connected, e.g. music. All master stations may use this feature, by dialling "96", and be connected to the Program Distribution channel. There is no need to cancel the program distribution feature (music) to make outgoing calls. The music is put on hold during the call, which is the same for incoming calls. Cancelling the call, the music is automatically reconnected. To cancel the Program Distribution feature, dial X. This feature requires one extra pair in the installation cable, giving a total of pairs. To this extra pair, a program source is connected, f.ex. music. The feature allows a master station (stations with a complete keypad) to connect Program Distribution to other stations, e.g. substations without any keypad. To put Program Distribution in the loudspeaker in the waiting room of a medical centre, the master station dials 98 + substation number + required sound level (1-). To cancel the feature, the master station dials 98 + substation number + 0 and the Program Distribution to that specific substation is disconnected. A normal call to the substation with Program Distribution will mute the Program Distribution during conversation, but will automatically return when the call is cancelled. NOTE: By dialling from the master station, all receivers of Program Distribution will be disconnected. The stations AA70, AA704, AA705, AB71, AB71-F, AB71A and AB71A-F are equipped with an internal relay which can be used to control an electrical door lock or similar. The stations AA701, AA70, AB707, AB708 and AB709 must use an external relay which is controlled by an internal transistor output. The output in the called station can only be activated by the initiating party by keeping the key 5 down. During this period a normal conversation can take place. To activate this function the initiating station must be programmed with Priority. The called station, where the relay is connected, must also be programmed. See Programming chapter. A station AA701, AA70, AB707, AB708 or AB709 programmed for Remote Output/Door Opener can not be connected to an external loudspeaker. 19

20 Features Silent Alarm External loudspeaker Direct dial 10 key stations Specially programmed master stations can dial «6» in an emergency situation to make a call to a predetermined group of stations. (The call can be initiated by a concealed button or a foot-pedal). Some stations can be pre-programmed to receive a call in an emergency. This feature is specially designed for social security offices and police interrogation rooms where emergency situations might occur. The station making the call will remain silent, meaning no warning tone and no light in the station s lamp. In the receiving stations a special warning tone is heard and the stations lamps blink red. By dialling 6, any receiving station can listen to the emergency situation, again without any warning. The station lamp(s) of those who listen (1 or more stations at the same time) will blink green. When a receiving station dials 6 the second time, a normal duplex conversation is established with normal warning tones. All other stations will then have a red light indicating busy channel. By dialling X instead of 6 the second time, the call will return to alarm-call and an emergency warning tone will continue in all receiving stations. Stations that do not want to receive the emergency warning tone can dial X, thereby stopping the alarm signal. 0 An external loudspeaker can be connected to any station to increase the audio output power. The loudspeaker s impedance must not be less than 0 ohm. In the station, where the loudspeaker is connected, switch or jumper programming is necessary. See Programming chapter. Stations AA701, AA70, AB707, AB708 and AB709 connected to an external loudspeaker, can not operate the Remote Output/ Door Opener function. Individually programmable on any master stations, the keypad can be changed from a normal keypad with - digit dialling to a keypad for 1-digit direct call to 10 subscribers. You can choose between the following numberseries for the 10 direct dial keys: - 10, 11, or 0, 1,... 9 or 0, 1,...9 or 40, 41, As a programmable feature, the feature Emergency Call is available on key "9". Direct dial key stations The substations AB707 and AB709 have buttons for direct call to subscriber numbers 11, 1 and 1. In combination with the X-button (call button + X-button) you get access to subscriber number 1, Program Distribution and number. Instead of subscriber numbers 1 and, the button can be programmed to activate Emergency Call. The substations AB71, AB71-F, AB71A and AB71A-F can call subscriber number 1. They can also be programmed to activate the Doorbell, CAS-Operator or Emergency Call feature.

21 Pro700 Call Annunciation System (CAS) The Pro700 System can be programmed to operate with the feature Call Annunciation System (CAS). This gives the possibility of simultaneously queuing calls from up to 9 stations to up to CAS Operator Stations (guard stations). The CAS call-in stations are normally door/tamper resistant substations such as: AB71, AB71-F, AB71A or AB71A-F. The CAS operator stations are normally master stations AA701 or AA70. All stations installed in a CAS system MUST be switch programmed to enable the CAS feature. Stations not programmed will operate with ordinary Pro700 features. For system layout, please see drawing below. OPERATION: (CAS call-in station). A CAS call-in station can make a call request to the CAS operator in the following ways: - press the CALL button (or button "9" on a master station, if a master station is used as a CAS call-in station) - activate the Remote Input function - automatic activation of the Sound Detection Module DP996 (audio level detection). This module is optional and must be installed separately. The station's LED will flash green and a short tone is heard, or alternatively a message is received from the Program distrubution channel. The Local Output function switches on a warning light (if installed), for instance in the corridor. In idle the CAS operator stations (max ) will all display their own extension number: CASOP-15 OPERATION: (CAS operator station). The call request will be presented with a call tone and a flashing green LED. The tone can be heard once or repeated every third second (programmable). The CAS operator's station display will show: - the first caller in queue (16) - queue index no. (1) - nos. of calls in queue (5) The call can now be accepted on any of the CAS operator stations. The operator has the following options: 1 press the "0" button to accept the call (accepting the first caller in queue visible in the display). A communication path is established. The accepted CAS call-in station is displayed together with the updated nos. of calls in queue. The station LED will go steady green Optional programmable scroll features: press the "T" button to scroll the queue. Use the "0" button to accept the displayed extension number. press the "X" button to move a CAS request to the back of the queue. Up to 9 CAS call-in stations can be queued simultaneously. The CAS call-in station also has a local reset function, which gives the CAS operator (guard) the possibility to cancel the CAS request locally from an 1

22 Pro700 Call Annunciation System (CAS) external button adjacent to the CAS call-in station. When a CAS request is accepted, the stations' LED goes steady green and the established communication operates in simplex mode (the operator hears the audio from the CAS call-in station - listen mode). To control the speech direction, the T-button must be used (push T-button to talk, release to listen). An established CAS call can only be overridden by a priority call, not by an ordinary call or by all- or group call. The Sound Detection Module DP996 can be installed in the stations AB71, AB71-F, AB71A, and AB71A-F, and can activate a CAS request when the ambient noise/voice is above a preprogrammed level. If the CAS operator wants to remotely control an activity by the CAS call-in station, the "Remote Output/Door Opener" feature is used. Button "5" on the keypad must be held down to activate the remote output. ADDITIONAL CAS OPERATOR FUNCTIONS: Audio Monitoring The CAS operator has the possibility to listen in to the CAS call-in station without giving warning tone or light. Dial feature code "95" plus the required extension number (10-49). This feature is switch programmable in the CAS callin station (enable/disable). The CAS operator's display shows the number of the called station. The LED is flashing orange. 16 The CAS operator can dial "95" plus "5" to start audio monitoring of all stations, enabled for the feature, in the system. Each station will be connected for 5 seconds. The CAS operator's display shows: - connected station (1) - queue index no. (1) - nos. of stations to be monitored (6), programmed stations The CAS operator dials "95" plus "6" to start audio monitoring of all stations in the system, starting with the first station and advancing to the next station by pressing the "T" button. Pressing button "0" will establish a call to the monitored station. After monitoring the last station the audio monitoring sequence is terminated. The monitoring sequence can also be terminated by pressing the "X" button. The CAS operator dials "95" plus "7" to have the same operation as "95" + "6" above, but the audio monitoring will continue for three sequences or be terminated when a call is established or button "X" is pressed. Remote Program Distribution: After a CAS operator has accepted a call with the "0" button, pressing button "98" plus "1", "" or "" will connect the caller to the program distribution channel with audio level low, middle or high. Reconnecting the same CAS caller and pressing "98" plus "0" will disconnect the channel again. To cancel all stations connected to the program distribution channel, dial "98" plus "0". Anti Harassment Function: After a CAS operator has accepted a call with "0", pressing button "7" will activate the Anti Pester Function for that called CAS call-in station. The connection will be cancelled, and that station may not initiate any calls for the next 15 minutes. Remote Dial: In idle, the CAS operator can establish a call between two CAS call-in stations. Pressing the code "94" plus "call no A" plus "call no. B" will establish a connection between CAS call-in station A and B. To cancel the call, the Operator can dial 94 plus X. The call can also be cancelled from station A or B by pressing the CALL button. Delayed CAS Call If required, a CAS call-in station can be programmed to have a Delayed Call function. The Call button must be pressed and held for a minimum of seconds to activate a call. This for security reasons, for instance in lift/ elevators. Note: By special switch programming in the stations, also the Master Stations AA701, AA70, AA70, AA704, AA705 as well as substations AB707, AB708 and AB709 can also operate as CAS call-in stations.

23 General Installation Information For proper installation of the intercom System Pro700, the following equipment is required: A. Stations Up to 40 stations can be connected in a system. A maximum of 16-0 is recommended. Master stations: AA701, AA70, AA70, AA704 and AA705. Substations: AB707, AB708, AB709, AB71, AB71-F, AB71A, AB71A-F og BC75. B.
