1 GAFIK Systems GX-IPS-WH Sensor GX-IPS-WH c Description The GX-IPS Sensor uses an infrared transmitter/receiver pair to detect partition movement and, in conjunction with other Lutron products, coordinates lighting preset functions in areas such as partitioned meeting rooms or ballrooms. The GX-IPS may be used with GAFIK Eye 3000 or 4000 systems, GAFIK Eye, Energi Savr ode, or Quantum systems. Features Automatically combines lighting preset functions when partition is open creating one large space. Lighting preset functions become independent as partition is closed creating several smaller spaces. For operation with GAFIK Eye 3000 / 4000 system, the GX-IPS requires an interface (GX-I) and a power supply (GX-12D or PP-D). For operation with GAFIK Eye,or Energi Savr ode systems, the GX-IPS requires an interface (E-I) and a power supply (GX-12D or PP-D). For operation with Quantum, the GX-IPS requires either an interface (E-I) or wallstation with contact closure input (WS2-, WA-, or similar) and a power supply (GX-12D or PP-D). System apacity Each GX-I or E-I Interface (prefix WS2-, WA-, or similar; ordered separately) can accommodate up to five GX-IPS partition sensors for five different moveable walls. The sensors must be mounted in a position where the partition separates the transmitter and receiver when the partition is closed. Transmitter and receiver may be located no more than 8 ft (2.43 m) apart. Adjustable mounting brackets allow easy alignment during installation. Wires feed through the back of the transmitter/receiver.
