3 INTRODUCING THE EQUIPMENT - URBIASTRO 2000 is a PROGRAMMABLE ASTRONOMICAL CLOCK handled by an internal microprocessor able to perform the algorithmic calculation of the sunset and sunrise according to the geographical coordinates. - Independent control of each output CIRCUIT: astronomic circuit, energy-saving circuit and special ciurcuit. - Astronomical calculation of the heliacal cycle day-to-day, according to the geographical coordinates and the dusk pattern or, alternatively according to the total hours in a year. - Independent programming of each output circuits, allowing corrections for each day of the week, 83 special days for local festivities and summer / winter time correction according to the official rules in each country. - Configuration and programming by means of keypad or Windows compatible software. SAFETY WARNING WARNING: The icon indicates a potential risk for the user. The user is strongly adviced to look for further information on the user manual. The non-observance of these instructions may affect the security of the equipment and the user safety. The installation of the equipment must be done when it is unpowered.

4 INSTALLATION OF URBIASTRO Visual inspection of the package (Urbiastro 2000, user manual, guarantee sheet) 2.- Check the power supply. 3.- Connections are asked to be done using electrical cable with at least 300 VAC isolation (according to standard VDE 0281) and section from 0,5 to 1,5 mm2 4.- Mounting must be in DIN rail In order to switch on and switch of the Urbiastro 2000, use an external switch (with a fuse of 0 VAC and 0,5 to 2A) or, alternatively, an external circuit-breaker. It must be included in the electrical installation of the switchboard, close to the equipment, and clearly marked. MAINTENANCE OF URBIASTRO 2000 In order to guarantee the correct operation of the equipment and the safety of the installation, the manufacturer advice to follow a preventive maintenance planing. Checking points: - Relays and contactors operation. - Terminal condition, location of anormal overheating. - Dimension and condition of the operating elements in order that a normal operation does not cause an anormal heating. Cleaning must be done using a cleaning cloth previously humidified in water and neutral shoap.

6 OPERATION MODE - Independent control of 3 circuits of 250 V / 5A AC ASTRONOMIC CIRCUIT (output 9-10): For the control of public lighting based on the calculation of sunrise and sunset. It allows correction between +/- 1 and 120 for every day of the week and the possibility of defining up to 84 days of special programming. ENERGY SAVING CIRCUIT (output 6-7-8): For disconnnecting certain circuits or for controlling a flux regulator, with the aim of reducing electricity consumption after certain time. As the astronomic circuit, it can be programmed for each day of the week, setting the hour and minutes for turning on and off, and allows the possibility of defining up to 83 special days. SPECIAL CIRCUIT (output 10-11): This enables a particular circuit to be turned on and off at a fixed time and/or depending on sunset and sunrise. It also has the possibility of defining up to 83 special days. This circuit is useful for turning on ornamental elements that are separated from the public lighting system, as: monuments, fountains,... - There are two METHODS OF PROGRAMMING: ON PC: Using a Windows95/98 PC software. Permits the full programming of all the URBIASTRO parameters, and the possibility to disable certain key functions to prevent key manipulation by unauthorized operators. MANUAL: By using the keys. The manual programming allows to program the advance or delay for the whole year and on the three circuits independently, to input of the location s lattitude and longitude and to change to official summer and winter time. This method can be locked by the PC software in order to protect the equipment against misuse. - Los 83 días de programación especial se dividen en dos grupos: -Programación Especial de Días: Se puede programar especificamente 41 días con hora y minuto de conexión y desconexión, sin tener en cuenta el orto y ocaso. -Programación Especial de Tipo de Días: Se puede convertir 42 días del año en un día concreto de la semana. - The programming is saved in EEPROM memory. This fact guarantees that in case of power down all the parameters are protected. - The unit has a TEST function for the output circuits, it is accessible via the keypad. - The unit has a CLOCK SETTING function, accessible via the PC software or the unit s keypad. This function can be disabled via the PC software in order to avoid misuse

10 TROUBLESHOOTING NO DISPLAY ON Check the power supply. UNABLE TO CHANGE THE PROGRAMMING OR THE CLOCK BY MEANS OF THE KEYBOARD The keyboard programming mode is disabled. Power off and on the equipment and look the initial message (See Urbiastro Display chapter). The keyboard programming mode can only be enabled by using the PC software. NO RS2 - PC COMMUNICATION Check communication cable. Check at the PC which serial port is used. NO CIRCUIT ON MESSAGE ERROR: Er01 or Er04 MESSAGE ERROR: Er02 or Er08 MESSAGE ERROR: Er10 MESSAGE ERROR: Er20 Check the led related to this circuit. Perform a test of the circuit. Check physical connections. Clock error. Call S.A.T.* EEPROM error. Call S.A.T.* RS error. Call S.A.T.* The current year is not present at the winter/ summer timetable. *S.A.T. = Technical Service WARNING: The following errors Er01, Er02, Er04 or Er09 cause the activation of circuits and they stop the programme execution. After 1 minute the equipment will reset itself to reassume the normal working mode, if possible. In errors Er04, Er08 or Er20 the keyboard remains available and the user can enter into the SETUP in order to try a reprogramming of the equipment.

16 SAFETY RULES This equipment is manufactured according to the rule standards: and fulfills the following - EN , EN , UNE The right operating of the equipment presupposes a transport, storage and installation according to the rules described in this User Manual. The unit does not provide protection fuses, so the user must install protection elements. In order to enlarge the safety of the installation, the user is advised to assume additional preventive measures: - Those functions wich are not relevant for the safety of the installation are electronically commanded. - Those functions whom malfunction may result in great damage for the installation and even cause personal damage, must be commanded by means of conventional control elements (electromechanical).
