3 Important Information Introduction The ZA11 Steam Sterilizer is controlled by specialists. It is designed for clinics, hospitals, laboratories... The Sterilizer operates with a smart microprocessor control system, which makes it safe, reliable and easy. The parameters and conditions of the Sterilizer are displayed clearly on the digital screen during the process. To ensure the reliability of the cycle the machine will indicate a self diagnostic in order to protect the Sterilizer automatically during overheat or overpressure situations. The device has a collector of condensed water that prevents the steam from polluting the environment. Technical Specifications Environment teperature: 5ºC ~ 40ºC Humidity: less than 80% Air pressure: > 70 KPa Voltage: Refer to the label on the Sterilizer Frequency: Refer to the label on the Sterilizer Highest rated working pressure: 0.21 MPa ~ 0.23 MPa Highest rated temperature of environment: 134 ~ 137ºC Vapor pressure: 0.3 MPa ~ 0.6 MPa Water pressure: 0.15 MPa ~ 0.3 MPa Unpacking New Owner Serial Number Pay careful attention when unpacking the unit & its accessories. Damage caused by mishandling the equipment during unpacking or installation is not covered under warranty. 11 5. Installation ZAKTON LLC At least 10 cm space should be left around the sterilizer. At least 20 cm space should be left on the top and the back of the strilizer. Put the sterilizer on the horizontal bench. 6. Operation Preparation before operating the device Please connect power before you start using the sterilizer. Press the main power switch of the device ON, the LCD on the control pannel will light up. The program of the sterilizer is at the initial status. To start operating press the buttons OK and START/STOP successively. Water filling When you turn the power switch ON, if the LCD screen displays PLEASE FILL WATER and you hear a beep, this indicates that the water level in the tank is too low. Therefore the program cannot work until the tank is filled with distilled water. The water tank of this device is manually filled on the top right corner. USB Port To record the data of the used cycles of the device, please insert a flash disk into the USB port. Proper cycles If the water tank has enough water, and the waste water tank is not full the device will operate properly. Chamber loads - The chamber should not contain more than 70% of the volume or no more than 6 Kg per cycle. - The distance between the loads and the inside-walls of the chamber should be at least 10 mm. - With each sterilization cycle it s a must to use the test paper. - As a safety procedure use the tray-hand-holder. 11

12 Device Door Be sure that the door is closed properly, otherwise when pressing the OK button the LCD will display PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR. Program Selection Once you close the door, choose the proper sterilization program as per the loads in the chamber. All the programs are in the USER menu. By moving the cursor UP and DOWN to USER, press OK to enter to the program list. Move the cursor to the desired program and press OK again. The LCD screen will display PLEASE PUSH THE START KEY TO START. The sterilizer will perform automatically PREHEATING, 3 times VACUUM, sterilization and Drying. The time of the whole cycle depends on the initial temperature, the loads and the program. When the program is finished the LCD screen will display END with 3 beeps, the user can empty the device. When the device is not in use, please turn off the power switch. 7. Program Errors While the device is operative, and any abnormal situations occurs, the sterilizer s alarm beeps, the user must stop the device and release the pressure. The LCD screen will display an Error Code (review the below list). Write down the Error code number, turn the power off, wait till the pressure comes down to -0.5~0.5, now open the door for evaluation. The manufacturer suggests to restart the program as an Error test. 21 Electromagnetic immunity The Steam Sterilizer is intended for use in the electromagnetic environment specified below. The customer or the user of the Steam Sterilizer should assure that it is used in such an environment. Immunity test IEC Compliance level Electromagnetic environmenttest level guidance Conducted RF 3 Vrms d = 1.2 P IEC KHz to 80 MHz 3 Vrms Portable & Mobile RF communications equipment should not be used closer to any part of the Steam Sterilizer including cables, than the recommended separation distance calculated from the equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter. Recommended separation distance d = 1.2 P 80 MHz to 800 MHz Radiated RF 3 V/m IEC MHz to 2.5 GHz 3 V/m d = 1.2 P 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in Watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer and d is the recommended separation distance in meters (m). Field strengths from fixed RF transmitters, as determined by an electromagnetic site survey; - should be less than the compliance level in each frequency range. - interference may occur in the vicinity of equipment marked with the following symbol: NOTE 1: The higher frequency range applies at 80 MHz and 800 MHz. NOTE 2: Those guidelines may not apply in all situations. NOTE 3: Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people. 21

22 Electromagnetic immunity * Fields strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio (cellular/cordless) telephones and land mobile radios, amateur radio, AM and FM radio and TV broadcast cannot be predicted theoretically with accuracy. To assess the electromagnetic environment due to fixed RF transmitters, an electromagnetic site survey should be considered. If the measured field strength in the location in which the Steam Sterilizer is used exceeds the applicable RF compliance level above, the Steam Sterilizer should be observed to verify normal operation. If abnormal performance is observed additional measures may be necessary, such as reorienting or relocating the device. * Over the frequency range 150 KHz to 80 MHz, field strengths should be less than 3 V/m. Recommended Separation distances between portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the Steam Sterilizer The Steam Sterilizer is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the Steam Sterilizer can help prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications equipment (transmitters) and the Steam Sterilizer as recommended below, according to the maximum output power of the communications equipment. Rated maximum output power of transmitter W Separation distance according to frequency of transmitter m 150 KHz to 80 MHz 80 MHz to 800 MHz 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz d = 1.2 P d = 1.2 P d = 2.3 P For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separation distance d in meters (m) can be estimated using the equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, when P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer. NOTE 1: The higher frequency range applies at 80 MHz and 800 MHz. NOTE 2: Those guidelines may not apply in all situations. NOTE 3: Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people. 22
