4 4 Preparation FILMs & PAPER 5 01 Preparation Films & paper This part of the printing process can be the trickiest and we sell a range of products and equipment to suit your printing ability, need and budget. In the next few pages you will find everything you need to get ready to print - from preparing your artwork to exposing your screen and touching it up where needed. First, you ll need to make your artwork positive and we provide a variety of films and paper that can be used in ink jet or laser printers. These are available in any quantity - you can purchase a single sheet or bulk buy. If you are creating transfers, we can get you going with transfer release paper and adhesives. When it comes to coating your screen our range of Capillary Film could be exactly what you are looking for, especially if you are new to the process or have very limited equipment. Beginners love this product and it has had rave reviews. Alternatively, you can select an emulsion that is suitable for your water-based or solvent-based printing. A range of transparency film and transfer release paper, suitable for use with either laser or ink jet printers. 9 14 INKS & ADDITIVES 15 Inks & additives waterbased INKS We have a wide range of Plastisol, water-based and solvent-based inks to meet every need. water-based INKS We are an official distributor of the Permaset and Permaprint ink range. We offer a variety of solvent-free, air-dry, water-based inks, widely used in schools and colleges and perfect for printing onto fabric as well as paper and card. Discharge INKS We sell the Unico Discharge D ink which is the latest development for textile printing. Discharge inks are used to print light colours onto dark fabrics. During the curing phase the ink, in conjunction with an activator, removes the original dye (colour) from the garment and replaces it with the colour (pigment) from the ink. This results in a soft printed texture in the finished garment. The ink is newly developed and generates no formaldehyde during the curing process. Plastisol INKS The most popular solvent-based ink. 31 services 59 services Screen EXPOSING SERVICE WPS offers a screen exposing service that can be used on newly purchased or previously used screens that need to be reclaimed and/or re-stretched. Whether you are new to printing, lack access to the equipment or simply don t have the time, this service is ideal for you and means that you never have to turn down a job because of the complexity of exposing your screen. Where required we can provide the following services individually or in any combination that you need: 1. Artwork preparation and separation 2. Screen Reclaiming 3. Screen Re-stretching 4. Screen Exposing single and multi colour designs You can book this service online, over the phone or by . If you are providing your own screens, you will need to send the frames to our workshop. Please allow 10 working days from when we receive your instructions and design or logo as well as the screens. Equipment Maintenance & spares For our larger WPS equipment and Panther Dryers we offer repair and servicing either onsite or back-tobase. We also provide troubleshooting advice over the phone to get you back up and printing as quickly as we can. We supply spares for all WPS equipment, Panther Dryers and Weiss Carousels. The WPS and Panther Dryer spares include the: LIVE SCreen printing event We offer a full service 'Live Screen Print Event' that is ideal for retail outlets, festivals, educational establishments, charities and many other businesses or events. Screen restretching ALSO SEE PAGE To prolong the life of your screens, we offer a screen re-meshing service for aluminium frames only. Frames are roughened and tensioned on our professional stretching jigs and re-stretched with the mesh count of your choice. This is a great way to save money and reuse the frames that you already have. You will need to send the frames to our workshop for us to re-stretch them.
