Aura T5 Eco Saver Long Life is a tri-phosphor lamp with very good colour rendering and ideally suited for applications that need high light output. It is a Long Life fluorescent lamp developed to save energy. Your energy consumption could be up to 10% lower than when using a standard T5 fluorescent lamp in existing luminaires, and with the long life-feature it will also render you a reduction in maintenance cost. The service life of the lamp is 48,000 hours operated with an electronic ballast (warm start). Your energy consumption could be as much as 10% lower just by switching to Aura T5 Eco Saver Long Life. The Aura T5 Eco Saver Long Life-range is designed for operation with electronic ballast (preferably warm start). To be able to cash in on up to 10% lower energy consumption the electronic ballast used need to be current-controlled. With power-controlled electronic ballasts the lamp instead increase its light level, up to 10%. When using dimming ballasts it is necessary to operate the lamp at full level (100%) for 100 hours in order to stabilise the lamp and to reach the full potential of its lifetime. Replace high pressure mercury vapour lamps (HME) with this efficient Aura Eco Lighting solution in order to reduce power consumption, save energy and lower the maintenance costs. The solution consists of an outdoor connector and a Aura Unique-T/E Long Life lamp; 26W, 32W or 42W. The connector includes an electronic multiwatt ballast combined with a plug-in holder for the compact fluorescent lamp and a E27 screw base for easy installation in existing luminaires. The upgrade is easy. Simply remove the mercury lamp and screw in the pre-assembled connector with the Aura Unique-T/E Long Life lamp. For proper operation it is important to leave the existing ballast for the mercury lamp inside the circuitry. It is part of the system design of the connector for EMV compliance. Any built-in compensation capacitors must be disconnected. 12

It is in compliance with the relevant standards IEC 60929, IEC , IEC , EN and the ErP directive EG 245/2009. Dimming is not possible. For proper operation of the connectors in combination with the Aura Unique-T/E Long Life lamps the temperature development inside the luminaires needs to be controlled. A Tc-point 42W Long Life guarantee Aura gives a system guarantee for the Aura Eco Lighting Solution to replace mercury lamps. The system guarantee covers both the Aura Unique-T/E Long Life compact fluorescent lamp and the connector (including the electronic ballast). The system guarantee is 30,000 hours, which in most outdoor applications means seven years. The UltiLED has an integrated heat sink and uses an external driver for optimal reliability. 75 Aura Crystal Long Life Unique Long Life technology Aura has developed the first metal halide lamp with two ceramic arc tubes to reach the outstanding lifetime extension of the Aura Crystal Long Life lamp. The two arc tubes have been placed diagonally in the lamp and are positioned exactly and fixed in a stable holding system. This holding system provides a robust construction which resists vibrations and leads to improved reliability. The newly developed technical solution to reach an extended lifetime has resulted in a patent. very high quality components and operate on both electronic and electromagnetic ballasts. The Aura Crystal Long Life lamps can be operated at any burning position. Aura Crystal Long Life lamps are available with a colour temperature of 3000 K. The high colour rendering index (CRi) of Ra 80 improves the ability of drivers to recognise shapes and colours, especially in peripheral vision. The white light also gives a high sense of security for pedestrians. Spectral distribution of Aura CRYSTAL Long Life The one of the two arc tubes needing the lowest voltage level is more prone to start. Over time of use the ignition voltage for the first arc tube will increase. At a certain point it will be higher than the ignition voltage of the second arc tube and this starts working. This way the two arc tubes will alternate during the life time of the lamp. Standard single arc tube lamps need to cool down for five to 15 minutes before the lamp can be restarted. This is due to the high temperature inside the arc tube when the lamp is burning. In a twin arc lamp like the Aura Crystal Long Life, the inactive arc tube is also heated up during operation of the lamp but the pressure inside is much lower compared to the active arc tube. Therefore after a short net power breakage the inactive arc tube will ignite in less than five minutes. This means that the light will return much faster with Aura Crystal Long Life, than with comparable single arc tube lamps. TWO CERAMIC ARC TUBES The outer bulb of the Aura Crystal Long Life is made of a special hard glass. This protects the components inside from damage and secures the functionality over the long lifetime. The hard glass is lead free and absorbs UV radiation. Metal halide lamps must be operated in fully enclosed fixtures. In the rare event of the arc-tube shattering, the luminaire must be able to retain all fragments of hot ceramic and glass. Aura Crystal Long Life uses elliptical ceramic arc tubes. The oval form and constant wall thickness makes it possible to further increase the wall temperature which improves luminous efficacy and colour rendering. With elliptical ceramic arc tubes you also face less risk of ceramic corrosion and the failiures that might result. A cold metal halide lamp requires a run-up time to produce its full light capacity as the temperature and pressure in the inner arc chamber require time to reach full operating levels. Starting the initial argon arc sometimes takes a few seconds, and the warm-up period can be as long as five minutes (depending upon lamp type). During this time the lamp exhibits different colours as the various metal halides vaporise in the arc chamber. Run-up time for the Aura Crystal Long Life lamp is about four minutes. For safety reasons these lamps are specified only for use in downlights or other luminaires with air ventilation. The ballast is important for two parameters: Transforms the net power to the required ignition voltage to start lamps. Limits the current of the discharge process. There are two groups of ballast available: The traditional conventional ballast - based on copper-iron, actual as low-loss versions. The modern, very efficient electronic versions, based on high frequency operation. They are also available for dimming operation which is an increasing application area. Colour description The colour types of fluorescent lamps are based on an international number coding system based on a combination of the colour rendering and the colour temperature. The description of a colour can be identified like this, colour 830 means: First number 8 = colour rendering of tri-phosphor lamps = Ra Second part 30 = colour temperature of 3000 K, warm white. Colour rendering Colour rendering explains the ability of light sources to represent the colours. The quality is measured based on eight test colours and related to a standard reference. The colour rendition of a lamp is expressed by a value as average of the eight colours = Ra. According to a defined index from the International Electrical Commission (IEC) the lamps are rated to quality classes: colour rendering 106 Ra Classification type of lamp 100 The maximum colour rendering Incandescent + Halogenlamps Very good colour rendering Deluxe lamps Good colour rendering Tri-phosphor, Fluorescent lamps Low colour rendering Standard colours, Fluorescent lamps 40 Bad colour rendering High Pressure, Discharge lamps For certain lighting installations a specific colour rendering is required, e.g. office lighting with Colour temperature The appearance of light colours of fluorescent lamps is based on a system defined by the International Electrical Commission (IEC). The reference to the colour temperature levels is related to the radiation of a black body of steel through a heating process. According to the different status during the heating process the temperature level is determined. The unit of colour temperature is Kelvin (K). 109 Technical definitions and explanations Lifetime For the "life of lamps" are different definitions and terms are in use. This is depending to the lamp type, manufacturer and region. The essential definitions are: Lifetime as general term means the time during which a lamp is operating until it reaches end-of-life. Average life means the time at which the electrical life of a quantity of lamps operated at standardised conditions when 50% of the lamps are end-of-life. Service life means the time when in a lighting installation the amount of light falls to 80% of the initial 100 hour value. Service life is calculated on base of 10% lamp failures and 10% lumen depreciation. The operation is according to IEC/EN on a 3 hour cycle. Lifetime 12 hour cycle is coming in use for discharge lamps like Fluorescent or High Pressure. It is an operation cycle according to the real time of use (one switch per day) and defined as the time when when 10% of the lamps in an installation are end-oflife. The lumen depreciation is indicated at this time with less than 10%. Light illuminance The light illuminance (E) is the level of luminous flux on a defined area divided by the size of the area. It is stated as Lux (lx). Light intensity The intensity of light radiated in a defined direction. It is measured as Candela (cd). Light luminance This represents the luminosity of a highlighted area. It is measured as candela per m2 (cd/m2). Light output Light output expresses the efficiency of a light source. It is the result of luminous flux divided by the electrical power (wattage) used of a lamp. It is stated as lumen per Watt (lm/w). Luminous flux The volume of light radiated from a light source in all directions. It is measured with lumen (lm). Starter When fluorescent lamps are operated with conventional ballast an additional equipment is needed to ignite the lamp. The starter closes for the ignition the electrical circuitry around the lamp and delivers the needed starting pulse. During the operation of the lamp the starter is not further included. Starters are available as glow switch starter for standard requirements and electronic starter with comfortable characteristics as soft start with a defined pre-heating, automatic switch off with a defect lamp, direct re-start when new lamps are installed. Tri-phosphor powders The variety of colours of fluorescent lamps are created by a mixture of three basic colour components: Red, Green and Blue. Based on the relative balance of those the colours are defined, e.g. warm white has more red and green, daylight more blue component. The overall light appearance is giving a white impression showing the appearance of warm, white or daylight. Tri-phosphor powder deliver a good colour rendition (Ra ) in combination with high luminous flux and high efficient light output. 107

112 General sales conditions General sales conditions 1. Orders 1.1. These general sales conditions (the Conditions ) shall apply on any and all Products ordered or delivered The Customer shall place orders by fax or with Aura, stating the number of Products ordered. However, no orders may be placed for less than what is stipulated in the catalogue (i.e. for less number of Products than the number of Products per package given in Aura s product catalogue). All orders placed by the Customer shall be firm and irrevocable and made on Aura s standard order form. The Customer shall be solely responsible for the accuracy of all information contained in its orders Aura reserves the right to accept or refuse any order or part thereof. Such acceptance or refusal shall be made by fax or within seven (7) days after receipt of an order. If the order is accepted, Aura s order confirmation shall contain an estimated delivery date. 2. Documents and package 2.1. All shipping documents, e.g. delivery notes, packing receipts, and certificates of origin, shall be issued in accordance with Aura s instructions The Parties shall cooperate in order to prepare any and all necessary documents required by the authorities in the Territory and Sweden, or in any transit territories, as a consequence of the order, purchase, delivery or payment of the Products ordered by the Customer from Aura Aura shall ensure that the Products when handed over to the carrier for transport to the Customer are packaged in a way that may reasonably be required considering the characteristics of the Products and the way of transport. 3. Deliveries 3.1. Aura shall deliver the Products ordered by the Customer within the confirmed date Aura shall at its own expense arrange for insurance for and carriage of the Products, cleared for export, to the Customer s premises, provided that otherwise is not set out in these Conditions or has been agreed between the Parties. The risk of the Products shall pass to the Customer at delivery by Aura at the Customer s premises. For the avoidance of doubt, Aura shall be the owner of the Products ordered until paid and delivered in accordance with the conditions contained herein and thereafter shall the Customer be the owner of the Products ordered. 4. Delayed deliveries 4.1. If Aura finds that it will not be able to deliver the Product at the agreed time or if delay on its part seems likely, it shall without undue delay notify the Customer hereof, stating the reason for the delay and if possible the time when delivery can be expected Provided that Aura notifies the Customer without undue delay in accordance with Section 4.1, the Customer shall not be entitled to any compensation due to the delay and the delay shall not be deemed as a breach of contract. 5. Inspection of Products 5.1. As soon as possible after receipt of any Products delivered by Aura hereunder, but in no event later than seven (7) days after delivery, the Customer shall inspect the Products and shall inform Aura forthwith of any defects in or damage to such Products or shortages If the Customer fails to notify and/or forward to Aura full details within the period specified in Section 5.1, the Customer shall be deemed to have waived its rights to assert claims. 6. Defective Products 6.1. In case of any evidenced defects in or damage to Products or shortages at delivery, Aura s liability shall be limited to, at its option, correcting any errors, replacing the Products concerned or refunding the price paid (subject to the Customer returning the defective Products to Aura at Aura's risk and expense) or (if an abatement of the price is agreed with the Customer) refunding to the Customer the appropriate part of the price paid, provided that the Customer shows that Aura has such an obligation under the guarantees and provided that the procedure set forth in Section 5 has been followed In order to fulfil its obligations under the guarantees Aura may, at its sole discretion, demand that the Customer shall, at the Customer s expense, send the Products which the Customer deems default to Karlskrona, Sweden, for inspection by Aura. 7. Guarantees 7.1. Aura shall give the Customer such guarantees for the sold Products as stated in Appendix 7.2. Aura shall have the right to adjust the guarantees provided that Aura, in general, has made or will make such adjustment of the guarantees to the main part of its other customers The express terms of these Conditions are in lieu of all other guarantees or warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, all of which are hereby excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. 8. Product liability 8.1 Aura shall have no liability to the Customer due to product liability claims from the Customer or from end users or any other customers of the Customer or any other third parties relating to the Products, except as required under mandatory law. For the avoidance of any doubts, in case of any damages/injuries Aura will only provide a replacement Product and assume liability for instalment costs in accordance with Aura s ordinary product guarantee The Customer shall keep and maintain product liability insurance giving adequate protection to it and Aura in case of a product liability claim from an end user or any other customer of the Customer or any other third party. If Aura would so request, the Customer shall provide documents evidencing such insurance and, if Aura would deem it necessary, increase the insurance level to a reasonable level considering risks that may reasonably be foreseen. 9. Export and import 9.1. The Customer shall be responsible for ensuring that the Products can be imported to the Territory without any restrictions, unless the Customer has, prior to the entering into this agreement, notified Aura in writing of the existence of such restrictions Aura shall be responsible for the issuance of any necessary certificate of origin for the Products If, subsequent to the submission of a purchase order, it becomes known that the Products are subject to export restrictions, Aura shall have the right to cancel the sale without any further obligations. 10. Taxes and terms of payment The price of the Products from Aura to the Customer are detailed in Appendix Aura may change its then current prices of the Products with three months prior notice. Any orders which have been placed by the Customer and which have been accepted by Aura at the effective date of the price change shall be delivered by Aura to the Customer to the prices before the price change is effected. For the avoidance of doubt, the Customer shall freely decide its resale prices The fees and other charges of Aura do not include value added tax, sales tax, and similar taxes as well as any city, municipal, state or federal taxes or any withholding taxes or customs, whether currently imposed or imposed in the future, excluding Aura s tax on income. If any such tax or customs is found to be applicable to Aura, the appropriate amount of tax shall be invoiced to and paid by the Customer to Aura on the same terms as applied to the payment due Value added taxes, tolls and similar fees to be paid due to the delivery of the products ordered by the Customer from Aura shall be paid by the Customer Payments under these Conditions can be made in SEK/USD or Euro Aura shall, unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoice the Customer on a monthly basis Any amounts payable hereunder shall be paid within thirty (30) days from the date of invoice and payment shall be made in accordance with the instructions stated on the invoice and be made without any set-off or counterclaim. Payment will not be considered effected until Aura receives in available funds the full amount due If the Customer does not pay an invoice when it is due for payment, Aura reserves the right to stop delivery of the Products to the Customer until receiving payment in full. Aura agrees that this right shall not be executed without giving the Customer prior notice and a reasonable time period to settle the due amount Without prejudice to any of its other rights, Aura may charge the Customer all or parts of the costs incurred in collecting amounts due for payment. In addition to any other rights Aura may have, the Customer agrees to pay, a late payment fee on any amount overdue for payment by the Customer at the annual (or part thereof calculated on the basis of the actual number of days during such year) rate of STIBOR plus eight (8) % from the due date until payment has been made in full. 11. Governing law and dispute resolution These Conditions shall be governed by Swedish law without having regard to its principles of conflicts of law If the parties are unable to resolve their dispute through bona fide negotiations, all disputes, controversies or claims under or relating to or arising out of or in connection with these Conditions shall be finally settled by arbitration in accordance with the Rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. The place of arbitration shall be Stockholm. The proceedings shall be conducted in the English language and the award shall be final and binding upon the Parties. 110
