QCapture Suite PLUS Camera Settings Menu QUICK START GUIDE Basic - Tab The most frequently used settings are arranged on the Basic settings tab.

Exposure time, gain, and image offset can be manipulated either by slider or manual entry.

You can also free-draw regions of interest on snapped and live images.

4 QCapture Suite PLUS Camera Settings Menu QUICK START GUIDE Basic - Tab The most frequently used settings are arranged on the Basic settings tab. Here you can adjust your camera s binning and bit depth, and you can also choose to have exposure time scale to match the camera s binning mode. Exposure time, gain, and image offset can be manipulated either by slider or manual entry. Create a specific region of interest here as well, entering in precise coordinates and dimensions, as well as setting the camera view back to its default full screen. You can also free-draw regions of interest on snapped and live images. QCapture Suite PLUS s Auto Expose feature will automatically detect an acceptable exposure time for the current light levels and apply it to any image captures or previews. The White Balance features works with color cameras by automatically adjusting individual color intensities to render all colors more accurately. To calibrate the white balance, users must select an area of their images with an ROI that should be displayed as white, and the white balance button automatically adjusts from there. Advanced Tab From the advanced tab, choose the cameras readout speeds and employ an external trigger for more precise image acquisitions. See your camera s manual for a more in depth discussion of external triggering and read out modes. Some of our cameras support color image acquisition, and it is from the advanced tab that you will be able to finely tune individual color gains to bring our desired features in their images. Display Tab The display tab enables you to manipulate how your live previews and snapped images are displayed. Rotate images around using the degree wheel, or mirror them vertically or horizontally. Gamma settings are also adjustable via slider or manual entry, with a reset to defaults button to undo any unwanted changes. Flat Field Correction, for use with bright-field images on microscopes, is discussed in greater depth in our user manual QImaging. All rights reserved. 4

With TIFF files, choose the file location where a folder will automatically be created and TIFFs are saved. Adjust the number of frames in your stream and set a delay between frame acquisitions. You can also choose where QuickTime movies will be stored from this tab. Measurement Tab Add calibrated measurement lines to snapped images. Adjust the color of the lines and measurement units from this tab. NOTE: For the line to appear on the image captured, right click on the mouse with one button and then press the control key on the keyboard then click on the mouse. The line will appear on the image captured and you can then define length. Info Tab The info tab contains information on the camera being used by the application, as well as the driver info.
