For instance, when ordering HellermannTyton 822 material labels, please specify and use the ribbon that is configured for the 822 stock. In this case, it would be the TT822 ribbon. 17 Durattach (DTH) Label Material HellermannTyton introduces a new concept in high security label marking. When indelible marking is needed in harsh chemical environments, the Durattach (DTH) label and ribbon combination, along with a standard thermal transfer printer, achieves extremely chemical and solvent resistant printing. The Durattach material can stand up to alcohol, toluene, acetone and other chemicals without the need for a clear plastic over-laminate to protect the printed text. DTH is suited for printing process control labels and also the name plate labels, especially if high density bar coding or high quality printing is needed. The chemical and friction durability is excellent with superior print quality. In areas where the label must remain legible for security reasons, the Durattach DTH is an ideal solution. The labels can be printed with the HellermannTyton s thermal transfer printing systems. The standard DTH ribbons will also provide a high quality mark on HellermannTyton ShrinkTrak. 38 Ink Jet Self-Laminating HellermannTyton s ink jet self-laminating labels are smear resistant, allowing them to be handled immediately. The labels are made of a heat resistant 1mm polyester film with a strong acrylic-based adhesive. The printable area is a special ink-receptive film that absorbs the ink as it is printed on an ink jet printer. This same material, 994 clear polyester, can also be used in any standard laser printer. Each sheet is smaller than the standard letter size (8.5 x11 ). Less waste results from the smaller sheet size because the the user can print smaller quantities at one time. HellermannTyton s ink jet self-laminating labels are also more convenient to store. 47 Flex-Tag Markers Identifying The Flex-Tag marking system is a non-adhesive, labor saving method for identifying wire and cable. Used with TagPrint Pro software, the Flex-Tags work as an efficient, computerized system. Delivered on fan-folded, pin-fed cards, Flex-Tags are sturdy, yet thin enough to work with dot matrix printers 9 pin printers are recommended. Flex-Tags can also be marked with a pen. Manufactured from a 25mm thick, white polyester, Flex-Tags provide a scratch resistant surface which resists dirt, UV light, and a variety of solvents. Actual markers are yellow on the front and white on the back. Installation Tapered slots are on the end of each marker. To install the Flex-Tag, just bend the card, insert the wire into the tapered slots, and pull. The selflaminating labels have a clear tail which seals the legend under clear vinyl, maintaining the quality of the labels. The Rite- On markers are packaged in a reuseable dispenser made from high impact plastic which is resistant to oils and grease. This range of clip-on markers is specially designed for use after wire termination has been completed. The unique gripping profile is designed to ensure that clip remains in place under normal and vibration working conditions. The deeply stamped mark, black print on yellow provide high legibility. 56 Miscellaneous Clip-Tags Clip-Tags are snap-on markers which slip easily on wire and cable. The markers are non-adhesive and come on a wand for trouble free installation. Clip-Tags are applied by placing the flared end of the wand over the wire, then pushing the marker over the flare to the wire. The interlocking design of these markers keep them aligned and readable. Clip-Tags are used on pre-terminated wires, pre-installed wires, and terminal blocks. They work well for electrical installations and in panel and wire harness shops. Each legend is printed black on a white marker. Each wand contains 30 markers and each package contains 10 wands. 58 Miscellaneous Ovalgrip Permanent Wire Identification Ovalgrip wire and cable markers are designed to provide a permanent method of wire identification without the aid of tools. Hand pressure will squeeze the oval open so it will slip easily over the wire. The memory of the plastic returns the marker to its original oval shape, holding it firmly in place. Ovalgrip material is a white PVC compound with black legends. Letters and numbers can be applied adjacent to one another to make multiple digit legends. Seven sizes fit wires with diameters from.045 inches (1.14 mm) to.236 inches (5.97mm). Ovalgrip markers can also be slipped on HellermannTyton cable ties or wrapped around cables for cable bundle identification. Legends are permanent and easy to read. Ovalgrips are closed markers.
