Helen went to Van Nuys High School and Los ngeles City College. Helenʼs first marriage, following World War ll, didnʼt last, but gave her three great sons. second marriage in 1960, with Hal, was a joy and, as they raised the boys, Hal was a very good father. Helen and Hal moved to Torrance in 1960, and together became involved in photography in an unusual way. Both Helen and Hal joined South Bay Camera Club and in 1975 joined the Photographic Society of merica (PS). In 1976 Helen joined Click Chicks where, she says, she really learned how to print. She and Hal enjoyed a career in wedding photography for about ten years. Helen has actively served many photography groups. She presented a program on printing at the 1979 PS International Convention in Hartford. In 1981 she was co-chair of Young Photographers, a special program for youth requested by then PS President, Henry Greenhood.
