There are four core elements that combine to deliver HD Color Printing: High-definition LED Printheads Fundamental to any printer is its light source. MAC Validation The Message Authentication Code (MAC) is PC-encrypted into a document s printing data to prevent the file from being tampered with after it is sent to the printer. The printer reads the code and, if it detects any alterations to the file, issues a warning and cancels the job. Secure Erase Ordinarily, simply deleting a document leaves traces of the contents on a printer s hard drive. This feature totally removes the document from the hard disk drive, erasing all vestiges of a sensitive file or, if desired, sanitizing the entire disk drive. When a higher level of security is required, the C830 Series offers this option: Security Kit (Type A1) This encryption board plus-hard disk adds an even higher level of security by ensuring that all documents on the hard disk are encrypted, including Secure Print jobs, Stored Documents, and documents spooled to the disk. Common Criteria certified, the Kit protects sensitive data residing on the hard disk from unauthorized access. Better printer management leads to a better bottom line. The C830 comes with: Color Access Policy Manager A built-in feature that gives IT or department supervisors the ability to create rules (policies) that define when color printing is allowed. Once in place, these controls will determine if a document is to be printed in color, black & white, or not at all. The feature also helps supervisors to establish printing criteria: it provides job logs of recent history that enable them to monitor printer usage before and after the rules are set. 4" x 6" 3" x 5"
