Luxo is committed to quality. Our products are made in our own factories in Scandinavia and North-America. We specify, design and build our own products and control every step of the process. Quality is not left to suppliers in another continent to define. Our factories are ISO approved as a producer of medical equipment. Our production system is ISO 9001 approved. Environmental considerations are an integrated part of our business and we hold the ISO environmental approval. All our medical products are approved according to IEC medical safety. They are tested for electromagnetic interference and are approved according to IEC electromagnetic compatibility. All our examination luminaries, diagnostic luminaires and minor operating luminaries are approved according to EN , safety of surgical luminaires and luminaires for diagnosis. All products carry the medical CE mark. Warranty: Mechanical components of LUXO products are warranted to provide the original owner 5 (five) years of free service from defects in material and workmanship. The warranty does not cover light-sources or transformers/ballasts, except in special circumstances with project lighting where ballasts may be eligible for the same warranty. Conditions: 1. This condition will be granted only when the original invoice or sales receipt is presented together with the product. LUXO reserves the right to refuse free-of-charge warranty service if the above documentation cannot be presented or if the information contained is incomplete or illegible. 2. This warranty will not apply if the type sign or lot-number on the product has been altered, removed or made illegible. 3. This warranty does not cover alterations, adaptations or adjustments made to the product to conform to the national or local technical/safety standards in force in any country other than the ones for which the product was originally designed and manufactured. 4. Lights for service under warranty must be returned to the location instructed by your LUXO sales company or the authorized LUXO dealer where the product was purchased, where they will be replaced or repaired free of charge. 5. This warranty does not cover the following: Periodic maintenance and repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear. Any adaptation or change to upgrade the product from its normal purpose without the written consensus of LUXO. Abuse or misuse of the product. Repair done by non-authorized service stations, dealers or the customer himself. Accidents, lightning, water, fire, improper ventilation or any cause beyond the control of LUXO. Defects of the system into which the product is incorporated. 6. This warranty does not affect the customer s statutory rights under applicable national laws in force, or the customer s rights against the dealer arising from their sales/purchase contract.

Circus has a large ø165mm lens and patented spring balanced arm and highly flexible neck joint which can be positioned horizontally, vertically and laterally.

5 Technical information Circus Circus is the most advanced illuminated magnifier ever designed. It utilizes the latest lamp technology using a high intensity 22W circular T5 tube with very good colour rendering capacity. The tube is operated by high frequency ballast there by eliminating flicker and prolonging lamp life. Circus has a free floating lens of ø165mm giving a large field of view with a very narrow frame around it. The substantial lens permits comfortable viewing with both eyes. A circular light source is the ideal way of illuminating an object, virtually eliminating shadows. Carefully calculated reflector optics gives a very high light intensity at focal distance. The fully covered spring balanced arm makes it easy to position the luminaire in the correct position and makes cleaning easy. A hinged lens cover is standard. It protects the lens from dust and prevents the lens from causing damage if left in direct sunlight. 2 swing away attachment lenses of 4 and 6 dioptre are available. Additional lenses swing out from lens cover when needed. The clean design fits any interior. 6 8312 Magnifique II Design: Suzanne schurch Magnifique is for commercial or domestic use and is ideally suited to people with impaired vision. A very thin, translucent lens frame ensures that eye contact with the object viewed is not lost in transition when switching from magnification to normal viewing and back again. 4

7 Technical information 8312 Magnifique II Magnifique II has a large rectangular lens, 175 x 108 mm, which permits comfortable viewing with both eyes. The lens frame is very thin and made of translucent polycarbonate. The carefully designed optics project a high level of light onto the object viewed through the lens. The built in electronic ballast further improves viewing comfort. It offers instant start and no flickering or stroboscopic effects. Magnifique II comes with a choice of 4 main lenses, 3D, 4D and 6D acrylic lenses as well as a 3.5D glass lens for maximum scratch resistance. The lens has a unique snap on, snap off feature and may easily be changed to suit. The power switch has been designed to give good tactile feedback, making it easy to find and operate. It is the only magnifier to offer both shadow free magnification with light coming from both sides, as well as three dimensional magnification with light coming from the left or right. The 3D feature is especially welcome when working with circuit boards or similar delicate objects. 6

10 8321 Wave ESD Design: Luxo AS / D Spranger WAVE ESD is especially made for the electronic industry where static discharges can prove fatal for electronic components. WAVE ESD is designed to drain away static charges as they occur in a controlled manner. 8

11 Technical information 8321 Wave ESD 40% of failures in electronic components can be traced back to static electricity, damages estimated to cost billions every year! A human body hardly feels a 3000 Volt static discharge, while only 10 volts can be lethal to a class 1 ESD component. To ensure against static build up the head has been treated with a layer of dissipative polyurethane coating and all metal parts have special epoxy powder coating. The magnifying head is made of ABS polymer, combining lightness with high impact strength. The 22 Watt energy saving circular fluorescent lamp provides a high light output with a minimum of heat. The ø127 mm glass lens is positioned in the middle of the circular tube, the ideal way of illuminating an object and virtually eliminating shadows. A hinged lens cover is standard; it acts like a dust cover and prevents the lens from causing damage if left in direct sunlight. It is removable when not required. A transparent tube protection cover, made from rigid polycarbonate is standard. For additional magnification, secondary lenses can be fixed to LFM in seconds.
