Entries will be taken at the GOULBURN BASKETBALL STADIUM, Braidwood Road, Gate 5 from 11am to 6pm on Wednesday 20 th February, Thursday 21 st, Friday 22 nd then the last day will be Monday 25 th February 2019 from 9am to 6pm. Exhibits are to be delivered to the VEOLIA ARENA Braidwood Road, Gate 4 on Wednesday 27 th February 2019 before 6pm. Late entries will not be accepted Collection of exhibits will be from 4pm on Sunday 3 rd March until 5pm. Exhibits not collected by the close of the Arena may be collected from the show office on Monday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm. The photo or photos within the image must be all the work of the entrant. 934: SOMETIMES WET SOMETIMES DRY Entry Fee $1.00 per Entry Maximum three entries 1 st Place $15.00 Print Voucher 2 nd Place $10.00 Print Voucher Photo Challenge - In recent times, places that should be wet have become dry and barren, and yet there is also flooding in places that are usually dry. With this in mind you have your show theme. But it doesn t necessarily have to apply to the weather and landscapes, it can be objects, rooms, things that are sometimes wet and sometimes dry. Can be colour or black and white. Triptych is allowed for this category. No obvious digital manipulation. All ages category. CONDITIONS No work previously exhibited at the Goulburn Show will be accepted. Only photos printed on photo paper will be accepted. No Computer Copy Paper will be allowed. No Laminated Paper Prints will be allowed. Pictures to be printed to the paper size, no borders. No multiple images to be entered as one photo (triptych allowed for category 934 only). Photos to be mounted on BLACK or White HEAVY cardboard, matte board preferred. All photos must be firmly fixed to the cardboard. Any photos that come unfixed will be taken down and not displayed, this also applies to images brought in on soft card mounts (eg project poster paper). IMPORTANT: Please stick at least four hook (Velcro, make sure it sticks to carpet, please) spots to the corners of the mounting boards of your photos (no staples, pins or thumb tacks will be used to hang the exhibits). Topshot photographics can supply these. Print sizes that will be accepted are: no smaller than 5x7 inches and no larger than 12 X 18 (all sizes are in inches). No photos under glass or framing of any sort. See our sponsor for help with getting your sizing and mounting correct. All photos are to have the section and class number, owner s name, address and contact details on the BACK of mounting board. Please do not write your name on the front of your entry. Note: If you do not write your name on the back of your entry, it will not be displayed or judged. Entrants are limited to a maximum of THREE ENTRIES per class. The steward reserves the right to transfer entries into the correct class if deemed to be entered it the wrong class or section.

5 All work must be original work of the exhibitor and not copied from magazines, books or the internet. If there is a question of copyright ownership images will be removed from display. All copyright laws will be adhered to. Any entries not applicable to the above rules will not be displayed or judged. Exhibitors MUST enter the Professional section or the Amateur section, one or the other, you cannot put entries in both sections. Professional Photographers cannot enter the Amateur sections. Judging: Most Successful in Photography Points scoring system will be used: 1 st place - 3 points 2 nd place - 2 points 3 rd place - 1 point NO POINTS AWARDED FOR CLASS 933 or 934 The judge s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. If there are no more than three entries in a class only first prize will be awarded. If two exhibitors finish with the same point score, the exhibitor with the most first place awards shall be deemed the winner. If this is also a tie, then an adjudication between the tied images will take place. NOTE TO ALL EXHIBITORS: - These rules are necessary to be fair on all exhibitors who go to a lot of time and expense to prepare their photos in a professional way. The Goulburn AP&H Society Inc; assures intended exhibitors that the greatest care will be taken with all work submitted BUT NO RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE ASSUMED FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE to entries during transit or whilst at the show ground. DEFINITIONS Monochrome describes photographs in one colour or values of one colour. A monochromatic object or image reflects colours in shades of limited colours or hues. Images using only shades of grey (with or without black or white) are called grayscale or black-and-white. Macro - is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms like insects for example, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size. Streetscape - The visual elements of a street, including the road, adjoining buildings, sidewalks, street furniture, trees and open spaces, etc, that combine to form the street's character. Landscape - shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on man-made features or disturbances of landscapes. No humans in the image.
