3 BM-e ExPress BOURG BOOKLET MAKER EXPRESS IN-LINE / OFF-LINE / NEAR-LINE Key benefi ts Overview The Bourg Booklet Maker ExPress (BM-e ExPress) is the world s first In-Line/Near-Line booklet making solution tailored to HP Indigo 5500, 5600 and 7000 Series Digital Presses. This solution combines the Bourg Booklet Maker (BM-e) and Bourg Bleed Crease Module (BCM-e) to operate seamlessly with the right-toleft paper path and Duplex 2-up formats of HP Indigo presses. Aimed at stitch-fold-trim finishing production in digital on-demand and web-to-print environments, the BM-e ExPress is able to operate 24/7 at the full-rated speed of the HP Indigo 5500, 5600 and 7000 Series Digital Press. SET-SECURE PRODUCTION The BM-e ExPress generates ultra-short run jobs quickly with superb quality and guaranteed set integrity, without operator intervention. This solution offers various print fi nishing possibilities for HP Indigo users. It delivers, for example, set-secure production of booklets, reports and other confi dential documents for transaction processing applications in medical, education and fi nancial services. HIGHEST QUALITY AND SPEED BOOKLET PRODUCTION Working In-Line with the HP Indigo 5500, 5600 and 7000 Series Digital press, the BM-e ExPress produces non-stop up to a maximum speed of 5000 booklets/hour. The BM-e ExPress is able to stitch fold trim up to 30 sheets, stitches up to 55 sheets, and folds up to 120 pages booklets (30 sheets) without marking, scuffi ng or scratching. The maximum trimming distance is (0.98 in). Booklets produced can therefore be of an extremely small size. As the book press is integrated in the folder, booklets are systematically fl atter and more aesthetically-pleasing. TAKING FINISHING TO THE «NEXT LEVEL» OF AUTOMATION AND PRODUCTIVITY With the integrated BCM-e, the BM-e ExPress includes an advanced servo motor scoring cylinder technology which creases sheets on the fl y as they pass through the machine, without impeding productivity.
