Create a long sheet of paper by taping two sheets together from their short sides. Paint the kites on this sheet, using watercolours. Liveliness, use of colour. The two surfaces shown in light grey are translucent (light comes from these directions only). The dimensions of the series of spaces can be freely selected, with inspiration from the above image. The exhibition space houses a work of art in the shape of a giraffe. The work is at least two storeys high, so it can be seen from the upper low space as well. Imagine yourself inside the space and draw three interior pictures: one of the high exhibition space, and two smaller ones looking from the low spaces toward the work of art. Make the three drawings on a single sheet in portrait orientation. The layout and presentation of the pictures are free. Cut, glue, and fold the coloured pieces of paper to create a three-dimensional composition through which light can pass, and attach this to the white base, which must not be cut. The work must fit into Posti s packing box no. 4. Use at least two different colours of paper. Carefully consider the relationship of the colours used. Composition skills, use of colour. The tank is a welded steel tank whose internal shape corresponds to the external shape, without any visible structures. Its diameter is about 30 m and maximum height about 20 m. The tank was assigned to an opera troupe wishing to use it to perform a version of Mozart s The Magic Flute. The sample of music you are about to hear (played at the beginning and again in about 30 minutes) is the Queen of the Night s aria from the opera. The aria is part of a scene where the Queen of the Night enters the stage to explain that her daughter has been captured by a demon. Make a drawing of the Queen of the Night s scene, showing your idea of the stage, auditorium, and set design. Draw on a black sheet in portrait orientation. Draw or paint the kiss in two ways: in your hand (approximately natural size) and with a piece bitten or broken off, highly magnified. Make both drawings/paintings on a single A2 sheet in portrait orientation. Create this sheet by taping two landscape sheets together on the reverse side. Return the work flat and unfolded.
