1 Coronado High School Painted Parking Spaces Who: Any student planning to purchase a parking permit for the school year Why: To give students the opportunity to customize their parking space and have a corner of Coronado to call their own while building school spirit. Cost: $15 Process: Step 1: Print out packet over 2018 Summer or pick packet up at registration Step 2: Complete packet before painting day You will need: All required forms are attached to this packet $15 in cash or check (made out to Coronado HS) A completed Application for Painting Permit A signed copy of the Reserved Painted Parking Space Contract A copy of the Design of Your Parking Spot which MUST be approved prior to painting (we will keep this, so make a copy for yourself.) Paint Requirements: Paint MUST be water based interior/exterior latex NO spray, fluorescent, reflective, or other types of paint allowed Students will be provided with 5 color options (Blue, Green, Purple, Red, and Yellow) if the student wishes to use other paint they must supply their own and have it approved before they begin painting Prohibited: Offensive language, pictures, or symbols Negative or rude language Symbols related to gang-activity Use of names other than that belonging to the student Prohibited items will be painted over at the discretion of Administration. Disciplinary action will be taken & you will forfeit your right to a parking space and/or to park on campus. Painting Day: Determined at Registration Step 1: Check in at FCCLA Table in the Parking Lot. YOU MUST BRING: Any extra paint (so it can be approved prior to use) Your copy of your packet A form of ID A receipt showing that you have paid for the Regular Parking Permit AND Painting Privileges Step 2: Parking Spot Assignment AFTER checking in proceed to second table where you will sign up for a parking space Students will receive a selection of the five paints provided

2 Spaces are Student chosen but on a first-come first-serve basis Once you receive a spot FCCLA member will direct you to your spot Step 3: Begin Painting YOU WILL NEED: Your copy of your design Newspaper, tarp, tape, or something to block off the rest of the parking spot with so paint is not on anything but designated block A broom to sweep off spot before you begin painting Paint Brushes, paint, or painter s tape and any other supplies you may need Spots will be the student s personal parking space UNTIL the end of the year at which point they will be painted over for the next school year

I understand that I must check- in at the FCCLA table located in the front of the building before I begin to paint. I will only paint within the set boundary within my space I know I have to bring my own brushes and painting supplies to decorate my spot. I will never park in another parking space that is assigned to someone else or let anyone park in my space. I will only paint my approved design following all the guidelines in my parking space. I understand that my painted design must be completed by the end of paint day and that I cannot add to the parking space after this day If I park in someone else s painted parking spot, I will receive disciplinary action. I understand that my parking space w ill be painted over at the end of the school year If I do not abide by any of these rules, I realize my parking spot will be taken away and will be painted over, and I will not receive a refund.
