1 Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School Art Show 2018 Choose Creativity! May 16, 2018
2 CHOOSE CREATIVITY! 10 Principles of Creativity AUTHENTIC: I use my own personal experiences, special traits, and unique self to connect, grow, and create in a meaningful way. My ideas come from who I am. RESOURCEFUL: I embrace clever ideas, a variety of approaches, pragmatism, and optimism to solve everyday problems. I can make something from nothing. CURIOUS: I am open to new experiences, techniques, and styles. I experiment in order to learn. I like to learn new things and try out new ideas. UNCONVENTIONAL: I do not use traditional ways to approach things in my life. I look at things from different perspectives. I can do things in unexpected ways. PATIENT: I understand myself and the sometimes messy process of creating something. I accept that taking shortcuts rarely helps. I know my best ideas take time. EXPRESSIVE: I can convey my thoughts and feelings creatively through different outlets. By learning to express who I am creatively, I feel confident and empowered. I can share my feelings in different ways. INTUITIVE: I trust my natural instincts when making choices and decisions in my life. I trust myself and what feels right to me. PRESENT: I am aware of my thoughts, feelings, surroundings and resources. I notice and respect the world around me. I pay attention to myself and my world. INVENTIVE: I imagine new ideas to apply to my world to make it better. I come up with and use good ideas in all parts of my life. INSPIRED: I am passionate about using ideas to make and do interesting things, making a positive mark on the world. I get ideas from the world around me. 1
