1 The Quilters Station Price List The number of square inches in the quilt calculates quilting charges. To determine the SI you will need to measure the Length x Width = SI. To determine the cost of quilting you will multiply the SI by the fee for the chosen quilting. Example: Quilt top is 84 x 98 = SI x.0165 for edge to edge quilting = $ You can choose any pattern for the edge to edge quilting. Min Charge $40.00 Edge to Edge Quilting and $75.00 Custom Quilting Quilts can not exceed 115" in Width. All quilts are carefully measured, pinned and basted to the machine keeping quilt measurements in tact. Quilts will lay flat and will be square when complete. I guarantee all my work not only to your satisfaction but also to mine. I have been known to remove stitches when the results did not meet my expectations. Edge to Edge Quilting: Pantograph pattern is followed covering the entire quilt top Including borders. Most of my patterns are very detailed and considered custom work Without the custom charge SI Border to Border Quilting: A pantograph pattern is followed covering the quilt from Inside the borders. This requires tying off threads, careful planning of the quilt pattern and a stitch in the ditch between the border and the quilt top. Custom Quilting Simple Freehand quilting design in body of quilt and freehand borders such as feathers Does Not include stitch in the ditch Custom Quilting Basic Stitch in the Ditch around quilt blocks and freehand meandering Custom Quilting Complex Stitch in the Ditch around and/or in quilt blocks and/or motifs. Requiring numerous Stopping and starting. Thread color changes. Freehand meandering/feathering etc. Based on number of hours spent on quilt. Custom Quilting Heirloom Stitch in the ditch, outline blocks, applique work, echo quilting, cross hatching, chevron Various background fills and other techniques are used to create a one of a kind quilt. Thread color changes. Trapunto Work Involves Marking the Quilt Top, Quilting Top with Batting / Removing Quilt Top Trimming batting away from stitch line. Loading Quilt Top again and Quilting on Same stitch line. Quilt must be washed to remove washable thread from trapunto work And marking lines. Fee is based on hours-spent marking and trimming. Border Patterns Turning Charge With the exception of freehand feather borders. Quilts must be removed/turned.025 SI.030 SI.035 SI.040 SI.060 SI.070 SI And UP $10.00

2 And loaded on the machine again to do the side borders. This is a fee for turning the Quilt. Basting: Basting is great for hand quilters (not recommended if you plan of quilting on a home Sewing machine). The quilt is basted approximately every 2 inches across the quilt Binding: Machine stitched on the front of the quilt and hand stitched on the back of the quilt Thread Charge: My Gammill machine uses a M Style bobbin which is 2-3 times the size of a home Sewing machine bobbin. This fee is charged after the quilt is finished based on how Many bobbins were uses. This will depend on the type of pattern chosen and the type Of thread chosen. I use cotton and polyester threads. Madeira, King Tutt, Sew Fine, Bottom Line just to name a few. Pressing: Please see instructions for preparing your quilt top for quilting. I will lightly press the Backing material because it often will have a crease from sitting, however as a general Rule the quilts are quilting in the condition received. If you wish for me to press for you There is a fee. Repairs: The most common area is in not applying borders correctly (see instructions for applying Borders) If the borders have a wave and/or excess fabric this can be corrected in two Ways. 1. Removing the borders, measuring and applying again with corrected Measurements. 2. A Tuck (s) can be quilted in the border to take in the excess fabric. This can Cause your quilt to measure longer on one side and you will see a straight line Of stitching on the backside of the quilt. I try and do this in a seam area that Will not be extremely visible. I do not charge for this process. Ripped or missed seams I will re-stitch the seam before quilting Clipping Threads: Please read instructions for preparing your quilt top for quilting. Quilts are quilted in the Condition received. I will clip threads from the top of the quilt as I go but I do not Guarantee threads not to show through light colored fabric from the migrating threads On the backside of the quilt. If you wish for me to clip the backside of the quilt free of Migrating threads, there is a fee SI $25.00 Min Charge.020 a linear Inch 1.00 per bobbin $15.00 Per Item $25.00 Per Side N/C $1.00 per seam $20.00 per hour Batting: I recommend cotton batting in all baby quilts because the fibers allow air through And will not get a baby overheated. Also fibers burn rather than melt in case of fire. You may also want to consider Dream Cotton s new product Dream Angel. Commonly used battings I carry on the roll and it is sold by the linear inch. You can use the Smallest of the quilt however batting does have a straight of grain as fabric Does so I recommend

3 using the length measurement of the quilt.
