Quilt finishes approx. 64 x 64 Cutting Information The corner triangles on this quilt look as if they re pieced, but they are actually fussy-cut from the white/green border stripe. To fussy-cut, enlarge Template 400%. Make a template using see-through template plastic; tracing grain lines, seam lines, and fabric pattern lines. This will help you to position your template properly. Position template so that the striped pattern lines on the fabric line up with the striped pattern lines on the template. Place template on fabric, mark around edge of template, and cut out. See Cutting Diagram for approximate positioning of templates. 1. Referring to Diagram, draw two diagonal lines on wrong side of white/green floral 9 3/4 square. Place marked square on green/floral 9 3/4 square, right sides together. Sew 1/4 seam on each side on one line. Cut on unsewn line first, then on remaining drawn line to cut sewn square into quarters. Press open to make pieced triangles. Make /4" Fabric Requirements & Cutting Directions 2. Stitch 2 pieced triangles together (Diagram B) to make Hourglass Block. Referring to Diagram C, sew dark moss green dimple 1 x width of fabric strips to sides of green/white stripe 1 1/4 x width of fabric strip to make strip set. Make 6. 3 ssembling the Quilt 4. Referring closely to Quilt Diagram and photo, stitch four sashing rows using 4 green/white dot 2 1/4 squares and 3 sashing strips. In similar manner, sew 3 block rows using 4 sashing strips and 3 Hourglass Blocks. Stitch sashing and block rows together, alternating, to make quilt center. 5. Watching orientation, sew 2 Template triangles together to make corner triangle. Make 4 and stitch to sides of quilt center. 6. Starting and stopping 1/4 from corners, stitch dark moss green 1 x 52 strips to quilt. Miter corners and trim. 7. In similar manner, watching orientation, sew green/white border stripe 72 strips to quilt. Miter corners and trim. Finishing the Quilt 8. Layer quilt with batting and 3703-LG white/green lacy vine backing. Quilt as desired.
