2 Before You Begin Users must follow the exact steps as outlined in the document. Users should not skip or ignore any steps outlined in the document. All steps should be followed in order as specified in the document. Failure to follow the steps as outlined will lead to unsuccessful installation of application or installation of the wrong application. Make sure the battery is at least 50% before you begin. It is recommended to plug the phone into the power during installation.

5 01 INSTALLATION STEP 1 - DEVICE SETUP 5 Device Setup 1. Power on the device. 2. A Welcome! screen will be displayed. Select English, then tap START to continue. [Figure 1] 3. You will then be prompted to connect to the Internet. Connect to your store s Wi-Fi network. Once connected, tap the NEXT button. [Figure 2] 4. A "Terms and conditions" screen will be displayed. Tap NEXT, then tap AGREE on the following prompt. [Figure 3] 5. Tap Skip when prompted with the Google, Add your account" setup screen. [Figure 4] A second prompt will follow tap SKIP. 6. A "Google services" screen will be displayed. Turn off all items and tap NEXT. 7. A Name screen will be displayed. Leave the field blank and tap NEXT. 8. A Protect you phone screen will be displayed. Select No, thank you and tap SKIP to continue. [Figure 5] A second prompt will follow tap SKIP. 9. Tap SKIP when prompted with the "Samsung account" setup screen. A second prompt will follow tap SKIP. [Figure 6] 10. A Get your content screen will be displayed. Select No, thank you and tap SKIP. [Figure 7] 11. A Customize your device screen will be displayed. 7 02 RETAIL MODE INSTALLATION STEP 2 INSTALLING RETAIL MODE 7 Google Play Store (Device has access to Wi-Fi/4G connection) Note: Please review page 2 Before you begin before following the below steps. 1. Tap the Google Play Store application. 2. Tap the Menu icon and select Settings from the slide-out menu. [Figure 1] 3. On the Settings screen, select Auto-update apps. [Figure 2] 4. On the Auto-update apps screen, select Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply. 5. Search for US SAMSUNG RETAILMODE PLATFORM on the Google Play Store. 6. Select Install. [Figure 3] 7. Launch app to verify installation. 8. A WARNING! screen will be displayed. Tap Proceed. [Figure 4] 9. You will be prompted to enter your channel/store information. Ensure that AT&T is selected and enter the password rethink (all lower case) 10. Tap Confirm. 11. You will be prompted to select an experience. Choose Gear VR Retail Experience (4.0). 12. A notification box will be displayed. Tap Confirm. [Figure 5] 13. The application will begin to install. [Figure 6] Note: Download time will depend on connectivity. The file size is ~800MB. 14. 9 03 STARTING THE EXPERIENCE 9 Starting the Experience Install the phone into Gear VR headset 1. Adjust the device holder by pressing down and moving it to the left or right according to the size of the phone (Position A = GS7 edge) 2. With the phone turned on, place the phone into the device holder so that the port is fully connected with the Gear VR headset. 3. Push the opposite side of your phone into the Gear VR cradle until you hear the snap from the lock on the right. 4. Wear the Gear VR headset and confirm the new Gear VR Experience 4.0 is running by confirming environment and content menu is visible.
