6 Motivation and Demand for a Research Project automated and connected driving requires virtual methods for conception, development and testing within the meaning of a virtual test track region of Ingolstadt as a simulation model for virtual development automotive development changes rapidly from mechanical engineering to information technology structural change and enhancement of competences for the automotive branche and location of Ingolstadt development and operation of automated and connected vehicles require deeper understanding of interactions in the traffic system in its temporal and local conditions ( real time traffic model ) Research Project SAVe: Dr.W.Remlinger AUDI AG 6
