6 Operating conditions for Diamond and CBN Wheels The cutting speed has great influence on the grinding performance, lifetime and polish quality for diamant- and CBN grinding wheels. We therefor recommend employing the grinding wheels with our prescribed cutting speed. The lower values apply to the bigger, and the higher values to the smaller contact area. We listed our recommended cutting speeds for the equivalent grinding procedure along with a conversion table of cutting speed to rate of rotation.
