Knotted End Brushes with Shank These models are known for the high-quality of the wire and have therefore a longer service life. According to the RPM the brush will vary in dimension and enable the user to work in hard to reach areas such as drilled holes and recesses of all kinds. The cups of the knot end brushes with stainless steel wire are coated with plastic to protect the stainless surface. Knotted end brushes with stainless steel wire are green characterized. The brushes have a 6 mm shank. On demand the brushes can also be supplied with 1/4" shanks (USA execution). 24

Safety first Because of this special feature these brushes are the perfect tool to be used in security relevant places. Their lifetime is much longer compared to other brushes which are not encapsulated. However, it must be stated that the plastic will leave marks on the working piece. Because of the lack of flexibility of the wires the brushing effect is much stronger. Recommendation for users: Switch cabinet constructors often use encapsulated brushes: Thus paint on contact surfaces for switches or compound-impregnated cables can be removed precisely. 29
