8 WEALTH MANAGEMENT TEAM Thomas H. Kirk, III Executive Director, Wealth Advisor, Family Wealth Director Tom s philosophy is simple but powerfully effective: he believes that when you make clients your top priority, success for everyone inevitably follows. Tom s business model is based on trust, frankness and honest communications his client relationships span generations. Tom has worked in the financial services industry since the early 1980 s, which has given him the experience and perspective to guide clients with a steady, comforting hand through difficult market environments in helping them pursue their goals. Tom earned his degree at Wichita State University. He is a Family Wealth Director, a designation earned by fewer than 2% of all Morgan Stanley advisors. Tom serves on the board of Golf Fore Africa with his wife, LPGA player, Katherine. He enjoys traveling the globe participating in golf tournaments and entertaining clients and friends. Steve Bahm Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor Steve s comprehensive knowledge of the bond market enables him to build and manage sophisticated municipal bond portfolios for our clients. His focus is on producing income, reducing risk and staying ahead of inflation. Steve has worked in the fixed income management industry since the early 1980 s and has guided clients through multiple interest rate cycles and market fluctuations. Steve is a lifelong resident of Wichita and a former advisory board member of the McPherson College Auto Restoration School. He is also a collector and restorer of classic cars. Steve and his wife, Rita, enjoy overseas travel and being active in their children s sporting activities. Margaret Dechant, CFP Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor Margaret has spent her entire career working with high net worth clients in both the banking and brokerage arenas. This experience has enabled her to look at each client s financial situation holistically and address areas often overlooked by investors, such as personal and business wealth protection, estate planning, family governance and philanthropic giving strategies. Margaret also has extensive management experience, which allows her to effectively guide the team s long-term vision and direction. Margaret is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Kearney and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation. She and her husband, Todd, travel extensively and are avid supporters of Wichita State University athletics. An active member of the community, Margaret serves on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas and the Kansas Humane Society. 7

9 Bryan Green Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor Bryan understands that many clients lack the time to focus on their investments. As such, he focuses on their wealth management so they can focus on the productivity and success of their own careers and businesses. He proactively manages client relationships by offering tailored investment solutions including alternative investments and structured products to high net worth executives and business owners. Bryan has been in the financial services industry since the late 1980 s, focusing primarily on providing investment and lending solutions to clients. Bryan is a graduate of Wichita State University. He and his wife, Darcie, have two children. They enjoy traveling, supporting local charities, and attending their children s athletic events. Pamela Smith, CRPC First Vice President, Wealth Advisor Known for her attention to detail and strong intuition, Pam makes sure that each client has a clear understanding of his or her unique wealth plan. Pam helps build sound retirement planning solutions and strategies for both individuals and business owners. In addition, her expertise in insurance and annuities adds a layer of security for our clients, demonstrating our commitment to helping clients succeed. Pamela has worked in the financial services industry since 1996 and has earned the CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR SM. Pam and her husband, Dan, reside in Derby, Kansas and enjoy traveling and photography. Sarah Hampton Vice President, Wealth Advisor Sarah manages client relationships and fosters the next generation of wealth through wealth advisory and retirement planning solutions. Her ability to quickly develop strong personal relationships with clients makes Sarah an integral part of our team s commitment to maintaining continuity with clients and their families. Sarah has been in the financial services industry since She is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara. She is a member of Circle of Red Women of the American Heart Association and volunteers at the Kansas Humane Society. Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and hunting, and entertaining family and friends. 8

10 INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT TEAM Andrew Mies, CFA Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor, Senior Portfolio Management Director As the team s portfolio manager, Andrew researches and develops investment strategies to meet our client s objectives. Using both fundamental and quantitative research, he oversees the investment management team, which is committed to delivering strong, risk-adjusted returns to our clients. Andrew spent 15 years working in New York City and Kansas City in the financial sector before returning to his native Wichita. His extensive background in portfolio management enables him to create portfolios tailored to the growth requirements and risk tolerance of our clients. Andrew is a graduate of Georgetown University and is a CFA charterholder. He is a wine and art enthusiast and serves on the board of the Wichita Orpheum Theater. Andrew enjoys golf and vacationing with his wife, Jamie, and their two young sons. Trevor Phillippi, CFA Financial Advisor Trevor is the investment analyst working closely with our portfolio manager on the portfolio management strategies. Trevor s responsibilities include new portfolio development and testing, ongoing portfolio research, performance reporting and risk analysis. He utilizes institutional databases and optimization software to identify undervalued companies, manage risk and improve tax efficiency. Trevor has been working in both the financial services and corporate finance industries since Trevor is a graduate of the University of Kansas and received his MBA at Wichita State University. He is a CFA charterholder and has passed the CIPM Principles examination. He and wife, Heather, enjoy golf and spending time with family and friends. Ammie Weidner Portfolio Management Associate Technically-minded and detail-oriented, Ammie is a multi-tasker known for her accuracy and dependability. She oversees account operations, portfolio trading and execution for the investment management team. Adhering to strict policies, Ammie maneuvers through ever-changing regulations to ensure efficient and compliant account trading practices. Working closely with the Morgan Stanley trading floor, Ammie continuously analyzes portfolio trading volumes and the resulting market impact to help ensure our clients receive the best possible execution price. Ammie is a graduate of Wichita State University and has been in the financial services industry since She and her husband, Nick, enjoy traveling coast to coast to pursue their passion for travel and SCUBA diving. 9

11 REGISTERED ASSOCIATES Amanda Maier Business Development Director As the team s business development and marketing director, Amanda is responsible for designing and directing client interactions to ensure the team s mission, vision and values are delivered with quality and refinement at all times. Amanda coordinates the team s client events, written communications, team branding and community involvement. She also works with each advisor to create strategic action plans to facilitate business growth, as well as building and maintaining a high level of contact with current and prospective clients. Amanda has been in the financial services industry since 2001 working in both the private banking and brokerage service industries. A graduate of Kansas State University, Amanda and her husband, Mark, enjoy hiking and entertaining family and friends. Stephanie Murphy Senior Registered Associate Stephanie is thorough, dependable and an expert problem-solver. Her relationships with clients span multiple generations. Clients rely on her breadth of knowledge, from fund transactions to account history information and securities based lending. Stephanie is a Morgan Stanley CSA Banking and Lending Coach and a member of the Morgan Stanley CSA Training Advisory Group. Stephanie has been in the financial services industry since 1987 and a graduate of Wichita State University. She is actively involved in raising her three children with her husband, Todd. Stephanie volunteers at The Lord s Diner and supports the Wichita State University and Bishop Carroll High School athletic programs. Denice Robinson Senior Registered Associate Often the first point of contact for clients, Denice quickly develops trusting relationships with her strong communication skills, engaging personality and reliable attention to a wide range of issues important to clients. She assists clients through the new account opening process and fund movement transactions, and communicates with branch operations to ensure each client request is processed in an efficient and timely manner. Denice has been with the firm since 1994 as both a registered client service associate and branch operations manager. She is a graduate of Pittsburg State University. Denice is very active in her church as a Youth Group sponsor. She and her husband, Keith, enjoy assisting in their two children s sporting and performing arts activities. Lisa Coon Senior Registered Associate As the wealth planning coordinator for the team, Lisa works closely with the advisors to expand and deepen our wealth management offerings. She assists the team by developing and monitoring tracking systems to ensure a seamless client experience through each step of the wealth planning process. Lisa also oversees operation systems that guide client engagement such as client review meetings and financial goal analysis. Lisa has been in the financial services industry since 2001 in both the banking and brokerage sectors. She and her husband, Kevin, are very active in their two daughters sporting events and enjoy entertaining family and friends. 10
