David joined Thomson early 2004 to head up Thomson's private equity business in Europe (then called Thomson Venture Economics). Prior to joining Thomson, he worked in strategy consulting at Arthur D Little in Paris and London, where he was in charge of the Corporate Finance Advisory Services practice, and specialised in buy-out, M&A and syndicated loan transactions. David has a Master of Science from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris where he specialised in Finance and Economics.

Mr. Burman chairs the Real Estate Funds sub-committee of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry ("ALFI") and ALFI's AIFMD Working Group, and sits on the Public Affairs Committee of the European Association of Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles ("INREV"), and the RICS Belgium/Luxembourg Board.

4 Marta Jankovic Senior Sustainability and Governance Specialist APG Asset Management Gustav Mahlerplein MS Amsterdam Netherlands Marta Jankovic joined APG as a Senior Sustainability and Governance specialist in December She is responsible for the sign-off on the ESG aspects of all new investment proposals in the commodities, private equity, hedge funds and other illiquid asset classes and will further develop processes to monitor existing investments on their ESG performance. Marta practiced law for over 10 years with a focus on investment funds and corporate law. Prior to joining APG, she was an in-house counsel at SVG Advisers in London where she worked on the structuring and development of fund products. Marta led SVG's CSR Committee and oversaw the implementation of ESG considerations into investment practices. As a member of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association's (EVCA) Professional Standards Committee and as Vice-Chair of the EVCA Responsible Investment Roundtable she has contributed to the development of the EVCA Professional Standards Handbook and will continue to promote responsible investment practices throughout the EVCA membership.
