UPDATES: Superintendent Sanders reported back, per Board request, on the best price for purchasing the AED devices. The price from NCEMS for 11 devices, with the needed cabinets/storage units, is $16,458. Board was in agreement to order from NCEMS. 3. REPORTS Sharon Fields, with KPC, and Robert Johnson, with GRREC, were in attendance. Sharon Fields made a presentation to the Board regarding Kentucky Purchasing Cooperatives. Rollanda Grubbs, Penny Cecil, Amber Thurman, Karyn Brey and Diane Morris presented a report on the Regie Routman Reading Program which is being implemented at the elementary schools. Paul Mullins, Amber Reed, Kelly Sandidge and Rex Hanson presented a report on LCHS ACT scores. 4. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED. A motion was made by Anita Cruse with a second to the motion made by Price Smith, to approve the following Consent Agenda items: a. Minutes of previous meeting dated 7/20/09 b. Claims as Presented c. Treasurer's Report (Kids Crew/School Nutrition Program/General Fund) d. Fund Raising Requests e. Retiring Fixed Asset #11465 f. Applications for Emergency Substitute Certification g. Declaration of Outdated Textbooks as Surplus l. Permission to Write YES Grant 5. APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT #7 TO MECHANICAL CONSULTANTS FOR LCMS HVAC/WINDOWS PROJECT APPROVED. A motion was made by Price Smith, with a second to the motion made by Norbert Skees, to approve the requested payment of $470, to Mechanical Consultants, Inc. for the LCMS HVAC/Windows Project.

6 Page 6 of 7 6. CONTRACT WITH ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES OF KENTUCKIANA APPROVED. A motion was made by Dick Greenwell, with a second to the motion made by Anita Cruse, to approve a contract with entech for services during the school year. Services will be requested from entech on an "as needed" basis, with billing under this contract to be handled as services are provided and payment will be made from IDEA-B and/or IDEA Preschool grants. 7. KECSAC MOA BETWEEN LARUE CO. SCHOOLS AND THE LIFE CONNECTION APPROVED. A motion was made by Anita Cruse, with a second to the motion made by Norbert Skees, to approve the KECSAC (Kentucky Educational Collaborative for State Agency Children) memorandum of agreement between LaRue County Schools and The Life Connection for the school year. 8. ASSURANCES FOR STATE STABILIZATION FUNDS APPROVED. A motion was made by Dick Greenwell, with a second to the motion made by Anita Cruse, to approve the assurances for the State Fiscal Stabilization Funds. 9. ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION (per KRS c). A motion was made by Anita Cruse, with a second to the motion made by Price Smith, to adjourn to closed session (per KRS c) for the purpose of discussion of proposed or pending litigation against or on behalf of the public agency. 10. RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION. A motion was made by Price Smith, with a second to the motion made by Anita Cruse, to reconvene in Open Session. 11. ADJOURNMENT.
