8 Role Models Linda Liukas is a programmer, storyteller and illustrator Bev Hurley CEO YTKO Group, Founder of Enterprising Women & Outset Linda founded Rails Girls, which has organized workshops in over 230 cities, teaching the basics of programming to more than 10,000 women. Linda s children's book, Hello Ruby, is the "world s most whimsical way to learn about technology, computing and coding. and a success story of crowdfunding on Kickstarter. Linda won also the 2013 Ruby Hero prize Linda worked at Codeacademy, which she left to write stories that teach children about software and programming. Linda was also named the Digital Champion of Finland by the EU Commissioner for Digital Agenda. Enterprising Women largest UK community devoted to growing female entrepreneurship and Outset, has helped over 20,000 people to date to create sustainable enterprises. In the last four years alone, the YTKO Group has enabled the creation of 4332 businesses started and 4808 jobs created through these initiatives! Bev was awarded a CBE in the Queen s New Year Honours 2014.

9 Rising Tide Europe: 90 women from across 4 continents innovating through angel investing Our goal is to build a worldwide investment community of women in the Business Angel space. Rising Tide Europe 1 gathered together in women from 24 countries across 4 continents to learn by doing with angel investing and making 8 investments across 5 countries. Rising Tide 2 has started in March 2017.
