1 CREW Seattle Mentorship Program 2019 Mentor Bios Mentorship Program Mentors include CREW Seattle Past-Presidents and established leaders within our chapter and real estate community. They are member volunteers committed to advancing the success of women in commercial real estate. Read more about our wonderful 2019 program mentors below. Lori Mason Curran Lori Mason Curran MAI, CRE, FRICS, LEED AP Real Estate Investment Strategy Director Vulcan Inc. With more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, Lori Mason Curran leads the formulation of investment strategy for Vulcan's real estate portfolio. Lori has an extensive background in the valuation of commercial real estate and her ongoing market research and economic analyses are used to inform acquisition, disposition and investment decisions. She is responsible for the annual valuation of Vulcan s $2 billion real estate portfolio and acts as Vulcan Real Estate s public relations and media liaison. Before joining Vulcan, Lori worked as a commercial real estate appraiser. She received her MAI designation in 1998, is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) as well as a LEED AP (accredited professional). Lori sits on the Board of Trustees for the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and is a former trustee for the Washington Center for Real Estate Research at Washington State University s College of Business and Economics. She has been an active member of CREW Seattle since 1999, participating on numerous committees and serving two consecutive Board terms as Director of Membership and Director of Programs. She has also attended ten CREW Network Conventions and participated as a mentor in the inaugural CREW Seattle mentorship program in Lori received her Bachelor s Degree from Vassar College and her Masters Degree from New York University. She has also studied at Harvard University, Université Paris- Sorbonne (Paris IV), Université Paris Diderot (Paris VII) and Université Vincennes-Saint- Denis (Paris VIII).
2 Michele DeMaris As Senior Estimator for Abbott Construction with over 25 years of industry experience, Michele DeMaris is responsible for developing preconstruction estimates and managing the target cost model through construction. She also manages the bidding of select projects, leads value engineering efforts, and participates in constructability reviews. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Fort Wright College, Michele has estimated, planned, bid, and led proposal efforts for billions of dollars worth of projects since 1989 in the greater Puget Sound region, with occasional work in the Portland, Oregon area. She has estimated and planned projects in several industry sectors, including inpatient and outpatient healthcare, retail, hospitality, mixed-use residential, restaurant, light industrial, and high-end Class-A office tenant improvements. When not at Abbott, Michele enjoys spending time with her two adult daughters. She is an avid hiker and has hiked over 85 miles to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Julie Eisenhauer Julie Eisenhauer is a shareholder in Clark Nuber s audit practice. Her experience in public accounting has given her a strong background in audit, accounting, consulting, and tax preparation services for a wide variety of organizations. She co-leads the firms real estate practice niche and works with many privately held companies in the real estate market. She is actively engaged in the industry and values continual learning and development by staying up to date on trends, challenges, and opportunities facing the industry. Julie values developing future leaders. In addition to providing exceptional client service, she mentors and coaches others at Clark Nuber in her role as a performance manager. Julie has been a member of CREW for 12 years, has served on the board for 5 years, and was the president in CREW is a great resource for developing a network in the real estate market, supporting other women in real estate, and providing opportunities to develop leadership skills. Getting to know the other members and discuss the industry is invaluable. She looks forward to being a mentor!
3 Angela Gee Angela Gee has over 25 years of experience in architecture and has been involved in a variety of project types. She has extensive experience with managing project teams. As Principal at Dean Alan Architects she has direct oversight of the management of projects and architectural design services, as well as the owner s representative services the firm offers. Prior to becoming Principal at Dean Alan Architects, Angela was a Partner at AnRiKa LLC. She was a project manager at Clark Design Group PLLC, Seattle, and was involved at various firms such as NBBJ, Seattle; Freeman Fong Architecture, Seattle; as well as King County Department of Construction and Capital Planning. She has experience working with many public agencies and their requirements and regulations. On multiple projects, Angela has been involved during the property entitlement process, managing consultants and coordinating with agencies regarding environmental remediation, archaeological issues, neighboring property coordination, street-use permit procurement, SEPA, land use permits, building permits, and lease assistance. Angela has assisted clients with cost estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and phasing of projects. She has managed LEED Silver certified and LEED Gold registered projects, and has worked on a variety of project types. Kelly Molitor Kelly Molitor serves as Assistant Vice President and Commercial Sales Executive for Chicago Title s Seattle National Commercial Services (NCS) operation and Builder Developer Services. Kelly has been in the title industry for 28 years, 18 of those with Chicago Title. Along with the entire NCS team, she focuses on being an advocate for their clients. The long standing relationships they have with both local and national clients are a testament to how they consistently anticipate their clients needs ensuring a smooth transaction from start to finish. They are problem solvers and their network of professionals leads the industry in providing the exceptional service that their clients have come to depend on. Kelly continuously achieves the Top 2% Sales Nationwide across the FNF families and is a recipient of the Million Dollar Club and President's Club awards since She is a proud member of NAIOP, ULI, and CREW.
4 Serena Sayani Serena Sayani is a commercial real estate attorney at Stokes Lawrence, P.S. Serena s practice encompasses a vast range of real estate and related business transactions. Her commercial real estate practice focuses on acquisitions, dispositions, development, construction and leasing. She has structured complex real estate transactions for office, hotel, retail, multifamily and industrial projects across the United States. Her clients include real estate investment trusts, public and private pension plans, tax-exempt investors, developers, and other businesses. She also has substantial experience in the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, office and retail leases, and joint venture documents. In addition, she provides counsel to clients in multimillion-dollar development and construction transactions involving drafting and negotiating development, design, construction and other related agreements. Serena has achieved accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as a LEED Green Associate in connection with sustainable development and operation of real estate projects. The LEED rating system is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, constructions and operation of highperformance green buildings. Serena regularly presents at legal education seminars on real estate development, construction and leasing. Lisa Lui Lisa Lui is a real estate and construction attorney at Vulcan, Inc. Over the years, Lisa has counseled clients in all manner of real estate and construction transactions including leasing, property acquisition and sales, real estate finance, complex construction and design contracting and negotiation, and development ventures for projects such as office, multi-family, industrial, retail, residential, healthcare, hospitality, and recreational. Before joining Vulcan, Lisa was a partner with the firm Miller Nash Graham & Dunn in Seattle. Lisa was a member of the 2017 CREW Seattle & Sound Board of Directors. She has served as the Director of the Membership Committee, a member of the Foundation Committee, and was a 2018 Mentor in our program.
5 Lynda Collie Lynda is the Director for Unico s Pioneer Square and Lake Union portfolios in Seattle. She ensures that building operations, leasing, and maintenance at every property are held to the highest standard possible. Responsible for supervising budget development, management of all capital projects, service contract negotiation, and overall team management, Lynda works to define strategic goals for each property and align the property management team with those goals. Lynda has been a CREW member for the past ten years and is the 2015 Past Chapter President. Lynda comes to Unico with over twenty-five years experience in commercial real estate including extensive transaction, operations, asset repositioning and transitioning experience in Seattle, Portland, Denver and Southern California commercial real estate markets. Prior to joining Unico, Lynda Collie was with CAC Real Estate Management and CBRE, Inc. for nearly five years as the General Manager of Columbia Center and Wells Fargo Center in downtown Seattle. She has previously held leadership positions with Schnitzer West, Catellus, and The Koll Company. She has a degree in Economics from UC Santa Barbara and a recent MBA from the University of Washington in Seattle. Linda Coan Linda Coan is a Program Manager for Starbucks Corporate Real Estate and Facilities. She is experienced in workplace strategy, real estate, design, construction, and operations management with team oversight of service delivery for Starbucks, Premera, CBRE, and Safeco. Linda has been a CREW Member for 3 years (Leadership Series 2016) ASID (former Washington State Chapter President), NCIDQ University of Washington BFA, Interior Design and friends, and travel. Mother of two and grandmother of four. Besides loving my mocha, I enjoy skiing, gardening, spending time with family
6 Lydia Bennett Lydia Bennett is a commercial real estate advisor who provides advisory, brokerage, and education services to clients and professionals nationally and internationally. Her extensive commercial real estate experience ranges from investment sales and leasing, waterfront brownfield development, and land entitlement and analysis, and consultation. In her role with a port authority she restructured the real estate division, and was the commercial real estate expert on the planning and development team for the Waterfront District, an adaptive reuse of a 220- acre waterfront brownfield site. Her private sector experience includes working with regional retail and office developers, and owning and operating Saratoga Commercial Real Estate, a full-service commercial real estate firm. Today, Lydia works with numerous clients providing site selection, development advisory, and brokerage services for all sectors. Lydia s contributions to the real estate community have resulted in a wide-reaching network of local, regional, and national real estate professionals and consultants. She is a senior international instructor for the CCIM Institute, has worked for the Coldwell Banker Commercial Emerging Broker Training program, and has assisted in the development of the C21 Commercial Investment educational program. She is active with the CCIM Institute (National Board of Directors and 2015 Regional Vice President), is on the Western Washington University (WWU) College of Business and Economics (CBE) Executive Advisory Board, the WWU CBE Center for Innovative Education Advisory Board, and is a guest lecturer at WWU. She was a finalist for Businesswoman of the Year (2003) and was recognized as a Mover and Shaker (2004). More recently, she was named one of the 2016 Seattle Power Women in the commercial real estate industry by Seattle Bisnow. Susan Stead Susan Stead is a Principal of Parker, Smith & Feek, focusing on commercial insurance with an emphasis in the Commercial Real Estate and Nonprofit Practice Groups. During her tenure with PS&F, Susan has held many roles, including leading our Healthcare & Nonprofit Practice Group, one of the firms main industry verticals. Most recently Susan agreed to head our Project Risk Services team. This group is responsible for assisting all of our clients' development and construction phase insurance needs. Specifically, they specialize in placing builder s risk policies, liability coverages during construction including Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP); Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP); and Project Specific Policies. Additionally, they help our clients identify all elements of risk associated with building, including professional risk, pollution risk, and they provide education around surety questions that may arise. Susan s background working with developers and owners provides the perfect leadership foundation to manage carrier relationships; helping to innovate new products and support the team to meet our client s needs.
7 Susan also has responsibility for working with her clients and building new relationships within the commercial real estate space. She started her career with PS&F in 1988 and has enjoyed her experience with this company ever since. Active in her community; Susan recently rejoined the Washington Women in Need Board of Directors and is an engaged member of the Bellevue Downtown Association and CREW Seattle. She is a past Board Chair for both organizations. Raised in the South Sound, Susan graduated from the University of Puget Sound. Liz Rachman Elizabeth Rachman is the Vice President of Atlas Geosciences NW, a women-owned environmental consulting firm she co-founded with a long-time colleague in Prior to Atlas, she worked for several consulting firms in the Pacific Northwest, eventually co-managing their departments and/or satellite offices. Prior to relocating to the Pacific Northwest in 2003, she worked for several years in the Chicago area, also as an environmental consultant. Ms. Rachman received her Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Michigan State University in 1993 and her Master of Science degree (with thesis) in Earth Science/ Hydrogeology from Northeastern Illinois University in She is a licensed Geologist and Hydrogeologist in Washington and in Illinois, and is in the process of obtaining her license in Oregon. Ms. Rachman is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and served on its Board of Directors from 2016 to She also founded the South Sound CREW Committee in 2012/2013, which hosts professional networking events in the South Puget Sound region on behalf of CREW. In addition to various client presentations given across the region, Ms. Rachman was a panelist in a February 2015 CREW luncheon program entitled Environmental Issues in Real Estate, and at a May 2016 Commercial Real Estate Professionals Panel at a U-CREW Event at the University of Washington. Ms. Rachman currently lives in Kent, Washington, is the proud single mother of two beautiful daughters, and is a huge Seahawks fan. Geralyn D. Vannoy Senior Commercial Marketing & Leasing Manager, Vulcan Inc. Geralyn Vannoy executes the commercial leasing strategy for Vulcan Real Estate s investment portfolio. Vannoy s deep experience has resulted in the successful marketing of Vulcan assets in South Lake Union and beyond. Her holistic approach has driven numerous projects from ideation and marketing to lease execution. Vannoy is also the Asset Manager for Vulcan properties in Seattle s Central Area and select properties in South Lake Union. Prior to joining Vulcan, Vannoy held positions at Harbor Properties, The Staubach Company and Wright Runstad and Company. She has also represented landlords such as Equity Office Properties, Bank of America, Archon Group and Washington Mutual.
8 Vannoy has been a member of CREW Seattle & Sound since 2002 and has held several positions within the organization including Board, committee chair and multiple committee memberships. Vannoy earned her B.A. and Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington.
