2 FINAL REPORT Organized by Anatolia Inventions and Inventors Association and hosted by Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, the 3rd Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF 18) took place from 27 to 29 September 2018 in Istanbul Congress Center. ISIF 2018 also enjoyed the support of Republic of Turkey Science and Industry Ministry, International Federation of Inventors Associations, World Intellectual Property Organization and European Patent Office. During the opening ceremony such distinguished figures as Prof. Dr. Habip Asan (Turkish Patent Office President), addressed speeches stressing the importance of organizing international invention exhibition to provide an opportunity for the inventors to display their ideas and technologies for the advancement of countries. In addition, Mr. Masoud Tajbakhsh (IFIA Academic Sector Coordinator) delivered an Important message from IFIA president about the importance of expanding the culture of creativity and innovation. 384 innovative technologies from 22 countries were showcased during the event. Moreover, over 40 Science Park and technology transfer offices, research center of universities from Turkey and other participating countries showcased their latest innovative achievements. During the 3 days of the fair, 7 free workshops were organized by TURKPATENT, WIPO, EPO, LES TURKEY, INTERNATIONAL PATENT ASSOCIATION and the outstanding professionals of the ecosystem. There were over 300 participants in these workshops.

3 FINAL REPORT During the award ceremony, 11 special award alongside 200 Gold, Silver and bronze medal were conferred to inventors from various countries to the best inventions selected by the international jury board. IFIA s Grand prix was granted to Ranu Fauzan Aulia Muslim, Nobal Ardhinata Rahadyan from Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA). IFIA s Best National Invention Medal was granted to Engin Çağlayan Kizilirmak from Turkey with H2 TECH PURE HYDROGEN FUEL SAVING SYSTEMS Technology. IFIA s Best International Invention Medal was granted to UNGURUEANU SERGIU, FOSA DOINA, GLADUN NICOLAE, ŞIPITCO NATALIA, LEPADATU CORNELIU from State University of Medicine And Pharmacy NICOLAE TESTEMITANU, Moldova. IFIA s Best Academic Invention Medal was granted to Mutlu AYTEMİR, Berrin OZCELIK, Erdogan Orhan ILKAY, Gulsah KARAKAYA, Senol SEZER from HACETTEPE TECHNOPARK TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OFFICE(HT-TTM), TURKEY. The 4th Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF 19), to be held in September 2019, will continue to be a strong supporter of the national and international ecosystem.

9 AWARD CEREMONY At the ISIF 18 Award Ceremony held on September 29, 2018; 211 medals and award certificates were presented to the owners. The 12-member jury consisting of national and international academicians and ecosystem experts examined all the inventions one by one during 2 full days. As a result of these evaluations, the main objective of the award system is to encourage inventors; 1 Grand Prix, 40 Gold Medals, 70 Silver Medals, 90 Bronze Medals, 3 TÜRKPATENT Special Awards, 3 WIPO Special Awards and 4 IFIA Special Awards were presented to the winners.
