6 #4 Always Think Ahead When you are in the designing stages of your new kitchen, it is always so important to put functionality first. There will never be an ideal kitchen shape whether it s an L-Shape Kitchen, Galley Kitchen or a U-Shape Kitchen. The crucial thing to remember when deciding where to put the fridge, kitchen sink and hob is make sure there is no more than 6 feet between each of these items for ease of cooking and movement. This is sometimes very dependent on your style of kitchen but a few things to take into consideration are: Overhead cabinets taking them right to the ceiling, so that no gaps are left for dust to gather or junk to be stored. Nice deep drawers for easier access to all your favorite pots and pans. When possible include storage for appliances to avoid cluttering up your worktop space.
