2 ENGLISH 1. (a) Writing skills: Notice writing. Do questions given on page number-172 of your Grammar book in your practice notebook. (b) Write three forms of verb-20 regular and 20 irregular in your practice notebook. (Do the writing skills work in your practice notebook neatly ) 2. Make a calendar using the following parts of speech: (a)noun (b)pronoun (c)verb (d) Adjective (e)adverb (f)preposition (g)conjunctions (h)interjections (Include the definition, its kinds and examples with beautiful illustrations.) 3. Do one page of cursive strokes every day. 4. Suggestive Reading: Short Stories by R K Narayana. (After reading the stories, find: 10 Proper Nouns, 10 Common Nouns, 10 Material Nouns, 10 Abstract Nouns and 10 Collective Nouns and write them in your practice notebook.) 5. Read Part-I (A Voyage to Lilliput) from Gulliver s Travels thoroughly. 6. Revise and prepare whatever has been done in the class both in Literature and Grammar for test. HINDI 2

3 SCIENCE Instructions: All the work has to be done in a scrap book Making a herbarium Collect 10 leaves of different plants dry them and paste them in the scrap book. Also try to find the information on common name and scientific name of the plant. Making a Collage- Make a collage on the properties of matter. Select any five properties find pictures from magazines, books or the Internet to illustrate these properties. A group of students plan to visit two different states of India. To get the real feel of these states, they plan to eat only local food. Imagine you are a tour advisor. Pick out two states of India which you think they should visit. Find out 4-5 main dishes eaten in these states and their nutrient content. Now make a balanced diet for the students using these dishes. SOCIAL SCIENCE 1. General Instructions: 1.
