1 Timeline of Events December 8: Holtz and Humphries speak at private breakfast of local business people December 14: Holtz team and Humphries team meet to discuss cooperation opportunities December 21: Holtz calls Humphries to invite to breakfast meeting next day to discuss businessman s suggestion that they explore ways they could cooperate; Holtz sends subsequent invitation December 22: Holtz and Humphries have breakfast meeting. At breakfast meeting Holtz gives Humphries a printed copy of his proposal. It does NOT have any mention that this is referring to a time period after the primary concludes December 23: Humphries s Holtz and businessman with summary of conversation, including fact that Holtz proposal is unacceptable. Humphries s that if Holtz does not formally enter the race by not submitting nomination signatures by the January 3 deadline, Humphries would invite Holtz to be a consultant on his campaign. Humphries also writes that he would be willing to explore a consulting contract with Holtz should he win the general election. Humphries clearly states that he will not engage in that conversation until after the conclusion of the general election. Humphries also asks Holtz in this if he s willing to share his proposal with the businessman, suggesting that the businessman who Holtz later pinned the proposal specifics on had not seen the document December 23: Humphries s businessman contents of Holtz proposal. Businessman response indicates it is unrelated to his suggestions. Clearly, there is some remedial work to be done here! December 28: Humphries and Holtz have a 5 minute phone conversation. Humphries tells Holtz that his team will help Holtz craft an exit strategy if he chooses to not turn in his signatures on January 3 December 30: Humphries and Holtz meet with businessman to discuss possibility of Holtz not filing his signatures. Holtz declines. Meeting ends. December 31: Businessman s Holtz and Humphries. In this he clearly states that Holtz rejected dropping out of the race before the primary. It was only AFTER this rejection that the topic of any cooperation after the primary took place. February 15: Holtz and Humphries debate on Dan O Donnell show Humphries references Holtz s proposal Holtz denies he made proposal. When confronted with document he admits he made proposal but says they weren t his ideas; rather they were the ideas of businessman. He also states it was a conversation starter intended to discuss cooperation should one of the two not make it past the primary

Humphries has never had an electronic version and could not have edited it FACT: The metadata on the document Holtz ed the reporter shows that the document was edited immediately prior to sending to the reporter. FACT: The doctored Holtz document had sentences added to indicate that the initial Holtz proposal was for the period after the primary. February 16 & 17 Holtz denies he edited the document at all Holtz can offer no corroborating evidence that the contents of the proposal came from anyone but him
