3 Singe Section Of Gass - Fush Gaze Bonded Tripe Gazed Units Œ A fush gazed fat roof ights wi come fuy made up and gazed from the factory. Fixing ugs wi come pre-fitted to the roof. Ž Bed the roof down with an appropriate seaant onto your timber kerb with finished roof materia. Once bed down, bend the fixing ugs over your kerb edges. Any excess ug can be removed if needed. In most cases this wi be done before the paster board is on. Screw fix using appropriate screws for site. Use at east two fixings per ug - more can be used if needed. 5 Square Roof With Opener - No Transoms Beaded System With No Transoms Œ A square fat roofs with openers as above wi come factory finished and ready to insta. Fixing ugs wi come pre-fitted to the roof. Ž Bed the roof down with an appropriate seaant onto your timber kerb with finished roof materia. Note the opening device wi go to the ower part of the pitch. Once bed down, bend the fixing ugs over your kerb edges. Any excess ug can be removed if needed. In most cases this wi be done before the paster board is on. Screw fix using appropriate screws for site. Use at east two fixings per ug - more can be used if needed. Finish off appropriate to site needs. In most buids this wi be by appying paster board and pastering and appying trim where needed. 6 Mutipe Gazed Sections - With Transoms Beaded System With Transoms Œ Ž Roofs with mutipe gazed sections wi come deivered with the gass separate. Pease note that transoms are not secured in pace and the abes on the units wi identify which way up to gaze the product ater. Once gazed the stickers can be removed. Remove the short cut beads then remove the ong cut beads. Note where each bead is removed from so they can be re-instaed into the same positions ater. Now remove the transom beads and then the actua transoms. Note where each of these parts are taken from so they can go back into the same pace. Transoms are not fixed so are easiy removed. Fixing ugs wi come pre-fitted to the roof. Bed the roof down with an appropriate seaant onto your timber kerb with finished roof materia. Check a siicone joins on the mitres are not broken etc. Appy more siicone if needed in this area. Once bed down, bend the fixing ugs over your kerb edges. Any excess ug can be removed if needed. 7 Mutipe Gazed Sections - With Transoms Gazing Mutipe Sections With Transom Divides Œ Pace a siicone sea aong transom rebate which is cut out of the outer frame. Do this on both sides of the roof. Sip transom onto gass. Make sure the beaded side of the transom is to the centre. Lay gazed unit with transom into pace. Make sure the transom beds down onto the siicone sea paced in the step before. Ž Again siicone the next transom sot. Sip transom onto gass. Make sure the beaded side of the transom is to the centre. Lay gazed unit with transom into pace. Make sure the transom beds down onto the siicone sea paced in the pre-cut sot. Once a transoms are in pace with the gazed units the fina unit can be positioned as shown. 8 Mutipe Gazed Sections - With Transoms Beads & Gaskets Œ Start by cipping a beads into the transoms. Once a beads are cipped into pace you can then gasket them. This wi tighten the beads up and secure everything in pace. Once the transom beads and gaskets are in position you can move on to the other beads. Cip the ong cut beads into pace (red arrows). Then cip the short cut beads into pace (bue arrows). Ž Once a beads are in pace you can now wedge gasket the roof to a 4 sides. Pease see drainage detais on page 9 before gasketing the roof. Note wedge gaskets wi be cut where the transoms meet the beads. Wedge gaskets wi tighten the beads up and secure everything in pace. The wedge gaskets are designed to be tight but if they prove difficut try some of the foowing methods: 1. Use some gass ceaner to hep side the gaskets into pace. 2. Warm the gaskets in warm water. When pacing the gaskets aways push directy towards the bead / transom - this wi ensure the gaskets are not over stretched which may ead to gaps when they coo and retract back. 8 We reserve the right to make changes to the product specification as technica deveopments dictate and without prior notice. 9 Drainage For Beaded Fat Roofs Drainage Detais Drainage sots woud have been instaed into the roofs at the factory and are provided on a 4 sides. You wi need to remove some sections of gasket between the beads so that water can access this drainage path. In the case of a singe section of gass roof this shoud aready be done in the factory (pease check). On a mutipe gazed roof this wi need to be done by the instaer. To minimise standing water remove a 50mm section of gasket to aow water to access the drainage path. These sots shoud start at approximatey 100mm in from the corners or any transom. In cases of arger roofs more sots may need to be added. 10 Roof Vents Instaing A Roof Vent Œ Ž Assembe roof as per origina instructions. Try and make sure the opener goes to the beaded section of the transoms where possibe. Gaze other areas as norma. Roof vent/s wi come pre-assembed and ungazed. Remove beads. Pease sea a joints on site for weather tightness Lay opener into position between the transom bars. This shoud rest on the gaskets on a 4 sides. Insert beads and gaskets to transom bars. Then bead and gasket the main roof. Gazing the opener. Insert gazed unit into roof vent. Snap top and bottom beads into pace. These processes are done in the same way as on page 8 when using just gass. Snap side beads into pace. Wedge gasket into pace between the gass and bead.
