2 Published By DIY Beading Club INTRODUCTION This design is what I called The Bell. The pair of earrings also looks like 2 girls dancing with their beautiful dresses. The design is flexible as you can use any size of tear drop beads. You can use also make variations by using other shapes, like as briolette and big round beads. The tutorial is catered for beginners or anyone who loves to learn this basic wirework technique. Comes in 19 steps in 11 pages, the tutorial is designed for someone with some basic wireworks knowledge. It has in-depth instructions and ultra-clear, closeup photos at each step. Additionally, you can ask me question you have on the tutorial. No more getting stuck and frustrated on a confusing or just plain inaccurate pattern. MATERIALS AND TOOLS NEEDED: Materials Needed 2 tear drop beads approximately 2.5cm in length. Some seed beads 20 gauge (0.8mm) copper wires 21 gauge (0.7mm) copper wires 28 gauge (0.3mm) copper wires Tools Needed Round nose pliers Flat nose pliers Wire cutter Ruler

3 STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS Step 1: Cut 20 gauge wires measuring 20cm. Make a loop at one end of the wires using your round nose pliers. Step 2: Continue to twist your wrist to make a spiral around the first loop.

You will twist your right wrist downward to form spirals.

4 Step 3: After a few spirals, you can hold your spiral this way using pliers on the right hand. Use your left hand to help the other end of the wires. You will twist your right wrist downward to form spirals. You will release the pliers from the spirals and hold at a new position every time your wrist is twisted downward and a new circle is formed. Step 4: Continue to form the spirals until the end of the wires.

5 Step 5: To form bell shape, use your finger to push the centre of the wires outward. Step 6: Make a small loop at the bottom end of the wires.

6 Step 7: And push the loop facing down this way. Step 8: Now cut a 28 gauge wires measuring about 70cm. Attach one end of the 28 gauge wires onto the bottom part of the bell next to the loop.

7 Step 9: Make a 90 degree curl at the 20 gauge wires using your pliers. Thread in a seed bead. The seed bead will be placed nicely at the 90 degree curl you make earlier.

8 Step 10: Wrap the thin wires around the thick wires 2 times. Tips: As it is rather challenging to wrap around thick wires where you will need to pass thru the wires between the spirals, I am passing the wires to the left of the whole spirals (see arrow at picture A) and bring it back to the position of the seed beads (see picture B). Wrap another time using similar method (picture C) to secure the position.

10 Step 11: Continue to thread in second seed bead by repeating steps 9 and 10.

Step 13: Now cut a 21 gauge wires measuring 6cm in length.

11 Step 12: Continue to thread seed beads for the whole bell. Leave the 2 3 spirals at the top unwrap with seed beads. Step 13: Now cut a 21 gauge wires measuring 6cm in length. Thread in a tear drop bead and move it to the middle of the wires.

12 Step 14: Use your flat nose pliers, bend the 2 wires upward and let them cross at the middle on top of the bead. Step 15: Bend on side of the wires slightly and wrap it around the other wires for about 2 times.

13 Step 16: After 2 wraps, cut of excess wires.

14 Step 17: Now place the tear drop bead into the bell by passing thru the wires from the tear drop bead into the middle of the bell. Step 18: Leave about 0.8cm of the wires but cutting off excess wires at the top. Make a loop using your round nose pliers and place in a earring hook.

Of course, you can turn this design as a pendant as shown in picture

15 Step 19: Close off the earring hoop and you are done one side of the earrings. Repeat step 1 18 for the other side of the earrings. Get it? Of course, you can turn this design as a pendant as shown in picture below. Of course, you can turn this design as a pendant as shown in picture below.
