1 British Standards Institution (BSI) Complete British Standards Online Product Code Number: B00 (Internet and Extranet) Application Types of Data Standards issued by BSI (British Standards Institution) are used by industry and governments throughout the world and have been adopted by many other countries and international standards bodies. British Standards are especially vital to exporters and importers in their engineering, designing, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments. British Standards also play an important role in many contractual agreements. British Standards Online contains bibliographic data for all current, historical, and draft British Standards including: the General Series, Automobile Series, Aerospace Series, Marine Series, Codes of Practice, Electronic Components for Assessed Quality, Drafts for Development, Drafts for Comment, Published Documents, British Standards Society Publications (PD), handbooks, and technical publications. Included is the complete collection of European Harmonized Standards (EN) and selected adopted International Organization for Standardization (ISO) & International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) documents. Images are available for all current and some historical documents. These documents are available on a subscription basis only from Information Handling Services. Industry Modules British Standards Institution provides all the bibliographic data and document images to Technical Indexes Ltd., a member of the IHS family of companies. TI prepares and loads the data onto servers located in the UK at ti(uk) and in the US at the IHS Hosting Center. The complete service is subdivided into the 54 modules outlined below, allowing you to subscribe to the complete service or just those sections you need to reference. The first 53 Modules are based on International Classification for Standards (ICS) codes. This document has been updated to include the ICS changes as in ICS Edition 4, January The 54th Module is a collection of historical documents withdrawn between May 1991 and May 1999, and is not a part of the ICS system.
