1 Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative 2017 Annual Conference Objectives This conference brings together experts and practitioners from industry, governments, and civil society from around the globe to discuss strategies, programs, and emerging issues as they relate to sourcing minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas. To this end, the CFSI is partnering with the Public Private Alliance for Responsible Minerals Trade (PPA) and European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM) to deliver this program. Experts and industry representatives will gain valuable insight on the progress to date from collective efforts and multi-sector stakeholder initiatives as well as regulatory updates. Participants will walk away from the conference with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities for facilitating responsible minerals trade and what it takes to meet stakeholder expectations and comply with regulations. Lastly, participants won t want to miss the synopsis of new activities and programs at the CFSI and a look ahead to the coming year!
