5 CONFIRMED SPEAKERS Alper Aydemir, CTO & Co-Founder, Volumental Alper Aydemir has a PhD in robotics and computer vision from Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm in He has previously worked as a researcher at NASA/JPL s computer vision group and was one of the early team members of Google s 3D scanning on mobile phone project, named Tango. Ben Chamberlain, Senior Data Scientist, Asos Ben Chamberlain is a senior data scientist at ASOS.com where he leads the Customer Understanding team. He has previously worked as a data scientist in the social media, defence and security industries. He is a graduate of the University of Oxford. Susana Zoghbi, PhD Researcher, KU Leuven My research interests lie at the intersection of computer vision and natural language processing, and include deep learning, topic modeling and graphical models. Specifically, I am interested in developing end-to-end learning architectures to jointly detect finegrained attributes on both images and text. Ekaterina Volkova-Volkmar, Lead Data Scientist, Codec Ekaterina Volkova-Volkmar is a lead data scientist at Codec. Prior to this role she was a data scientist in the field of digital health. She finished her PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen, Germany, in Tom Charman, Co-founder & CEO, KOMPAS Tom is the co-founder and CEO of KOMPAS, a company using machine learning to understand people and places, creating recommendations based on personal perspectives. He s represented the UK at three startup world finals in Thailand, Denmark, and Belfast. Miroslav Kobetski, Co-founder, Volumental Miroslav co-founded Volumental during his PhD in computer vision at KTH and is currently leading the company's deep learning efforts in building the world's best and most consumer centric sales assistant. Hussein Kanji, Co-founder, Hoxton Ventures Hussein is a founding partner of Hoxton Ventures, a London-based early stage European venture capital firm. He has occasionally assisted the UK government with technology policy. He regularly appears on BBC, Bloomberg, CNN and Sky News.

Calvin Seward, Research Scientist, Zalando Calvin Seward is a Resarch Scientist for Zalando's Research Lab, working mainly on unsupervised and semi-supervised computer vision problems including classification, localization and semantic segmentation. Daniel Gebler, CTO, Picnic Daniel Gebler is CTO of Picnic, the world s fastest growing online supermarket that makes grocery shopping simple, fun, and affordable for everyone. Previously, he was Director R&D of Fredhopper, responsible for the product and technology roadmap, and led engineering teams located in Amsterdam and Sofia. Cathal Gurrin, Senior Lecturer, Dublin City University Dr. Cathal Gurrin is a senior lecturer at the School of Computing, at Dublin City University, Ireland, CIO of Identic, and he is an investigator at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics where he leads a research group of 10 people. Henry Powell, PhD Candidate, University of Warwick Henry is a doctoral candidate at the University of Warwick with a research focus on theoretical cognitive science and robotics, particularly how low level dynamic and computational control of motor action can affect human-human and human-robot interaction. Dima Karamashuk, Senior Data Scientist, Skyscanner Dima is a Senior Data Scientist at Skyscanner where his focus is on applying data mining and machine learning techniques for optimizing content caching and distribution. Arnau Ramosa, Sr Computer Vision Researcher, Wide Eyes Technologies Since 2015 Arnau is working as a computer vision researcher at Wide Eyes Tech. His research interests include object classification and detection, image retrieval, robot vision and natural language processing. Between 2009 and 2011, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the LEAR team in INRIA Grenoble / Rhone-Alpes.

Jan Gasthaus, Machine Learning Scientist, Amazon Jan is a machine learning scientist in Amazon s Core Machine Learning team, working mainly on time series forecasting and large-scale probabilistic machine learning. He is passionate about developing novel machine learning solutions for addressing challenging business problems. Artit Wangperawong, Chief Science Officer, True Corporation Art has built AI systems for some of the largest conglomerates in Asia and has experience in energy, medicine, telecommunications, finance, semiconductors, IT and education. Art studied at Stanford University, where he obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering as well as an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. Rami Al-Salman, Data Scientist & Machine Learning Eng, Trivago Rami is a data scientist and machine (deep) learning engineer at Trivago, in this role, he is developing the next generation of recommendations engines that involve heavily AI and machine learning techniques such as Deep Learning. Pau Carré Cardona, Deep Learning Engineer, Gilt Pau Carré is a data science and software engineer at Gilt. Pau has 10 years of experience encompassing software security, IT management, microwave networks profiling, quality engineering and currently deep learning in fashion industry. Ofri Ben Porat, Co-founder & CEO, Pixoneye Ofri has over 10 years' experience in international project management, business development and digital marketing. Previously: Senior Strategic Advisor to the Minister of tourism of Israel for digital and OOH marketing. Stuart is looking to quickly deliver innovative tools and develop a new way of working in an extremely competitive market Jekaterina Novikova, Postdoctoral Researcher, Heriot-Watt Uni Jekaterina Novikova works as a postdoctoral researcher in the Interaction Lab / Edinburgh Centre of Robotics at Heriot-Watt University, UK. She received a PhD in Computer Science in December 2015 from the University of Bath, UK. Her research interests lie at the intersection of natural language processing and human-robot interaction. Kostas Perifanos, Lead Machine Learning Engineer, Asos Kostas joined Argos in 2017 as a Lead Machine Learning engineer. Prior to Argos, he worked at Royal Mail, Mailonline, Pearson and in research; he was involved in a broad range of projects from European FP6 research programs to EdTech, Analytics, Search, Predictive Modelling using Machine Learning and AI.
