GENERAL Saab had invited to a ISC meeting i.e. ISC Meeting No 40 Face to face meeting in Glasgow. ISC Co-Chairman, Mr Joakim Sandberg Saab Regional Aircraft, described the meeting purpose o The topics concerning ISC related activities will be handled at the meeting, other issues with impact on MSG-3 analysis and/or the MRBR had been discussed at the earlier part of the meeting called: ISC/MRB meeting between TCH s, operators, authorities and invited vendors. o See presentation (appendix 1) for more detailed information regarding different topics Note: It was highlighted that Saab wants an active membership within the ISC community and will therefore send out an invitation for an active membership that give all parties the possibility to have an impact of the process, issues and the continued airworthiness, but this will also oblige the members to participate at the meeting(s), WG s, answer surveys etc.

TECHNICAL PUBLICATION Johan Pettersson (Manager Tech Pubs) presented the future update and improvements of the manual packages, viewer etc. and its enhancement on the operator s day to day usage of the manuals. Ref. presentation for additional details Saab will approach some operators to be part of a reference group in the near future 5. SSP - SAAB SUPPORT PORTAL Jörgen Ericsson presented the future update and improvements of the SSP, where the possibility to communication will be enhanced. A wide variety of enhancements will be possible, as it will be a 2.0 edition of the SSP were both Saab and the operator can influence the layout etc. Ref. presentation for additional details Saab will approach some operators to be part of a reference group in the near future 6. PERFORMANCE Thomas Fiege Spares manager presented the current situation in regards to spares availability and upcoming obsolescence challenges. Ref. presentation for additional details Magnus Wäster Strategic procurement manager together with Dowty representative described the history and the current situation at Dowty and concluded their soon full operation at the new factory site. Also Heroux-Devtek presented their view after the overtake of APPH in respect to the low volumes of spares and informed about the stock necessary for overhauls has been identified and are to be developed /manufactured to meet the community demand. Otherwise the topics below where discussed at this meeting, also see app. 1 (presentation) for further details. o OI No 06 MSI CPCP Closed o OI No 13 MSI Statistics Closed o OI No 23 MSI PMG Harmonization GE/Dowty Closed o New OI No 35 - MSI Corrosion - Review CPCP Open 8. OPERATOR TOP 5 INPUT Saab had received a Top 5 list from the operator community through the ISC Chairman. The list contained 52 items, where item s to be discussed at this meeting are stated in the S340 Operator Top 5 feedback form, ref.[3]. Some topics has been discussed at the ISC/MRB meeting and at the Operational meeting and are considered to be closed (an Open Item or action may have been created). Those item discussed at this meeting and are considered to be closed are: NO 3 TIMER indications due to frozen pressure switches o Meeting feedback stated that their operation doesn t experience this o Item closed at the ISC meeting NO 5 Operation in Icing condition overall o Ref. ISC/MRB minutes and EASA action o Item open

5 Lars-Gunnar Nilsson - May23th, (9) NO 6 SAAB reluctant to introduce new, or improve existing Fault Isolation procedures into Approved data (AMM) o Saab believes that AMM is mature enough manual to not require updating with Fault isolation issues. Bi-annual revisions will continue and are included in TC fee but no further amendments would be planned. It was accepted that as the aircraft aged, new items would come to the fore. o It was agreed to discuss which Fault Isolation procedures are important to the community and Saab will commit to investigate those and evaluate these within manual revisions o New Open Item No 32 created NO 7 SAAB reluctance to adopt new standard repairs into Approved data (SRM) o Saab has continuously updated the SRM and has conducted a investigation (where ISC active members have been involved, incl. Loganair), see attached SRM highlights. o In addition to that Saab I in the process to create/revise as indicated below: 1. Frame station 294 crack. Generic repair 2. Frame station 733 corrosion. Generic alt. special repair 3. Floorboard support Identification & possible repair. 4. Nacelle skin corrosion, generic repair. EASA statement: According to the SRM guidelines the details are exclusively classified as restricted area A This implies that special repairs included in the SRM guidelines shall be clearly limited or restricted. Mostly, the assessment includes a request to the manufacturer to design a repair or, with the manufacturers o Item closed

6 Lars-Gunnar Nilsson - May23th, (9) NO 8 Saab unwillingness to amend the maintenance manual or other operator documents with suggested items that would benefit all operators o Ref Item No 6, 7 & 9 o Other manual updates, such as AMM/SRM/FI procedures revisions etc. are continuously issued where information is considered misleading, missing etc., but also when it s considered beneficial for the operator from a maintenance/operational standpoint, and as always, it must be applicable to the whole fleet, e.g. fleetwide and NOT based on one (or two) operators and his/theirs operation, environment etc. o MUC input are recorded and followed up continuously, but Saab acknowledges that we can be much better to communicate, through our SSP (ref. step 5 in these minutes), SNL, Highlight of the highlights at manual revision(s), ISC forums etc. o Saab will work actively to investigate any possibility to enhance our communication (SSP-Saab Support Portal 2.0 to be launched end 2016 and will give differ opportunities to share information, including single operator may tailor their own needs on the site. o New Open Item No 33 created. NO 9 SAAB reluctance to introduce alternative or improved products (Approved Consumable materials list) to replace obsolete/non procurable products. - Without individual operator cost! o Saab is updating the obsolete parts, but may not add materials as an option. o It might be added if it s of an interest of the whole community and can therefore be highlighted at the ISC meeting, however, it might be necessary to share cost in the future in some way, for example it may include that the vendor will carry the cost etc. o Saab is monitoring the manuals, spare parts, materials etc., but as always, You as an operator may see the change from the vendor first, as Saab (TCH) doesn t work with the aircraft/manuals on an day to day basis o New Open item No 34 created to evaluate "Superseeded changed to Optional to" Note: It s important that the operator community send in P/N that are affected and subject for investigation

7 Lars-Gunnar Nilsson - May23th, (9) NO 12 Inadequate support of critical items o Saab will together with the operator community through the ISC active membership participation analyze the need for critical parts to ensure such parts would be accessible in a timely and adequate manner. NO 19 Brain Drain of expertise in Saab Support, particularly Flight Operations o The Saab support team is manned only with senior pilots and engineers, with successors to earlier members of staff carefully selected, if some teething problems still occur, pls direct your concern to respective department. o Ref to Operational meeting. NO 26 AFM Supplements not available in tablet format o The AFM Supplements in tablet format is in progress. o Ref Publications presentation. NO 31 Landing Gear Corrosion o To be dealt with in accordance to Open Item 35: Review of CPCP NO 33 Frozen Pressure Switches o Same as No 3 above. NO 35 Maintenance Manual amendment for turbulence inspection o Presented at ISC/MRB meeting will be introduced at next AMM revision.

8 Lars-Gunnar Nilsson - May23th, (9) NO 38 Air speed sensors o Presented at ISC/MRB meeting not regarded as a common malfunction among the present community. NO 39 De-Ice Boots o Presented at ISC/MRB meeting being the main issue for the operators, presentations by both Saab and UTC. o Item Open. NO 42 Dowty Prop o Presentation by Dowty at the meeting Dowty is recovering from the factory fire and will be up to speed with overhauls and manufacturing spare parts Q4/ Q1/2017. NO 10-11, 13, 17, 21-25, 27-29, 32, 36-37, 40-41, o Was not discussed at the meeting, due to time restraint and that it was focus on the Airfoil/boot issue o Saab will assess these items, include the ISC Chairman on how to address the topics and then bring them up at the next ISC telecom. 9. ACTIONS Actions may arise from the meeting, addressing an OI or other topics that should be addressed. SAAB o Ref. open item list o Send out an invitation for an active ISC membership o Assess Top 5 input OPERATOR o ISC Active membership: Give feedback of engagement as an active member o Give feedback of important Fault Isolation procedures, that should be revised o Feedback of P/N that should be evaluated "Superseeded changed to Optional to"
