3 PREDICT 2 Structure & objectives Descriptive statistics Based on official stats, aggregated EU MSs / EU / international comparison data on ICT sector R&D, value added, employment, and productivity methodology for estimation of ICT GBAORD Economic modelling macroeconomic model allowing to evaluate different policy scenarios Linkage understanding possible impact of alternative policy instruments (e.g. of the effectivness through which public funding may spur R&D investments, increase growth and effect employment within the EU) the descriptive analysis is used to feed up the model.
