Preliminary heating -Transformers or inductors should be thoroughly heated to promote efficient impregnation. In attempt to upgrade electrical properties, 100 to 120 approximately 30min and be cooled Under room temperature for 15 to 20min Impregnation - Would parts of the Preliminary-heated motors and transformers should be impregnated approximately 10 to 15 min and vacuum impregnation should be terminated when bubbles from the middle part of wound piece are completely removed. Draining of the impregnated parts - In order to drain excessively-impregnate varnish in motors and transformers, the work piece should be completely drained until no drippings are made, for approximately 20 to 30 min. 4 CAUTIONS How to care varnish in the impregnation tank. - As slow reaction take place even under normal condition after hardener is added to solvent less insulation varnish, different from the case in solvent-type varnish, thorough care should be paid in the control of varnish viscosity. - Impregnation tank-cover should be tightly closed so as to keep it from foreign materials and to prevent monomer evaporation. - Add fresh varnish without the hardener and thoroughly mix if the mixture is still remained in the impregnation tank after process, all you have to do is just to add hardener, in proportion to the volume of varnish you added in previous day. Storage - Varnish and hardener should be kept in separate as in the state of original packages, and keep in a dry and cool place, away from direct sun light and fire. - Hardener is not stable enough against heat and shock including direct sun light Therefore, extraordinary care should be paid in particular. HOW TO CONTROL THE VARNISH TANK As the specific gravity and the viscosity of the varnish will considerably affect the degree of varnish adhesion, penetration and antirust properties. Especially in case of solvent less insulating varnish should control it for preventing gelation by the control chart. The viscosity and specific gravity of the varnish will change according to temperature. It would therefore be ideal to provide cooling or heating devices for maintaining the temperature of the varnish in the tank between The varnish in the dipping tank have to adjust the viscosity and Specific Gravity to the center control line by thinner and fresh varnish. When adding the thinner or fresh varnish, stir the lot well at in order to obtain a through mixture.
