Any ideas? Well the answer is a 1,500 robot called Pepper - who looks quite similar to Casper the Friendly Ghost, a popular children s 2: character. This robot is not your normal android because it is the first robot that has the ability to understand human feelings by looking at a person's face. Pepper is so popular that when the latest models went on sale this week - all 1,000 units or bots sold out in less than sixty seconds! 2 Pepper has been developed by Japanese telecom giant Softbank and Taiwanese technology company Hon Hai Precision Industry. The word robot was first used less than one hundred years ago - in Czech x: Karol Capek used the word in his play RUR: Rossom s Universal Robots.
