9 K-Land on profile Operation K-Land on profile is available in the operation wizard. New K-Land type: Tangential allows you to grind K-Land on ball nose, corner radius and form steps with a tangential intersection to the OD 9
10 Drill gash straight in operation wizard Drill gash straight is available in operation wizard It is independent of a drill point clearance operation and can be linked to the point profile and probing profile operation. (Use Edge Construction "Intersection, Base Operation "Probing Profile Diameter or "Fluting, select drill profile) 10
11 Facing operation Correction of wheel diameter, radius and length in Z. Corrections are applied optional on wheel data. All IDNs using this wheel pack are affected. 11

Measure diameter, core diameter and rake angle on cylindrical i l standard d tools with integrated t probe. Compensates for deviations from nominal values caused by wheel wear and thermal expansion. For drills its also helpful to define rake in point angle projection Picture shows the difference between rake angle in cross section view and rake angle in drill projection Selection of rake plane angle - Rake plane angle can be selected optionally on common tab of fluting operation - It s only available for rake definition Standard Distance ahead of center - For drills the rake angle is often defined as Distance ahead of center. This value is displayed in fluting operation 19
20 Note: Distance ahead of center is an equivalent value for rake angle Centerline distance is an equivalent value for radial angle. Centerline distance (or radial angle) define the radial position of the drill point clearance operation. Do not confound centerline distance to distance ahead of center Use case of above-mentioned issues for drill facet point To get a straight and parallel facet clearance primary configure your IDN as follows: - Select Define Rake At Drill Point Projection in fluting operation an set Rake Plane Angle equal point angle -Set Rake Angle in fluting operation = - Radial Angle of drill facet point primary or set Rake Angle that distance ahead of center = Center line distance of drill facet point primary 20

There are following options: - Definition of cross section via parameters Output of approximated HeliDrill wheel (3 radii) Output of exact wheel shape - Definition of cross section via DXF Output of exact wheel shape Definition of cross section via parameters (J-Shape template) J-Shape (as known from WWM like HeliDrill) is the only implemented template until now.
