Marlow Guitar Series Dr. Miroslav Loncar was the conductor for the All-Virginia Guitar Ensemble in Norfolk, VA John Mills received the Outstanding Early Career Music Educator Alumni Award from JMU. His article, "Give Your Students the Creative Classroom They Deserve," was published by NAfME The Briar Woods Falcon Regiment performed at the Russel Athletic Bowl game Briar Woods Percussion Ensemble won the Atlantic Indoor Percussion Association Concert Percussion Category Broad Run HS Band performed in the London New Year s Day Parade Tuscarora HS students had a master class with legendary Tonight Show band trumpeter, Doc Severinson THS was invited to perform n the Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Parade in Honolulu Dr. Matt Dunlap and Mr. Hart Wells were 2015 LCPS Teacher of the Year Nominees Elaine Stanford, LCPS Music Specialist, has been selected as the guest conductor for the 2016 All-Virginia Elementary Chorus

8 JM Lunsford 8 th grade orchestra was invited to perform at VMEA orchestra clinic session John Champe HS Band was invited to perform at the VMEA convention as well My-Van Nguyen received the annual Wolf Trap Grant in Education for LCPS Mark Campayno, Duane Minnick and Miroslav Loncar were quarterfinalists in this year s GRAMMY foundation Music Educator Award

9 67% of All VA Guitar students were from LCPS More than a third (65 students) of the Regional Orchestra were from LCPS 17% of All Virginia Jazz Ensemble came from our students 15 LCPS students qualified for VA Honors Choir (open only to seniors across the state) LCPS Choral students captured 11% of the choral seats in the state and 24 students made the national ACDA choir Cristin Cini and Annabelle Luebke served on a state curriculum review committee LCPS groups (Loudoun Youth Guitars, The Nova Guitar Trio, Stone Bridge High School 745 Vocal Ensemble, and Park View High School Artist Guitar Ensemble) performed at the Kennedy Center's Millenium Stage
